The staff wiped it and reinstalled the software, claiming it would take four hours. When we returned, we couldn’t log in because they’d loaded it with an unknown foreign email address. It took us weeks to prove ownership to Apple and a four-hour drive to a genuine Apple Store to fix the mess. Second time around, I brought my new iPhone 6 last Tuesday. I had called ahead to buy AppleCare, and they told me to just bring the phone in for a quick check. I drove a good hour and a half to get there, only to be told they needed the receipt. When I mentioned our phone conversation, they ignored me and stuck to the receipt rule. Terrible service.
