Sloan*longway: Engaging Communities in History and Science
Sloan*longway is a non-profit organization that aims to engage communities in history and science through its two main attractions, the Sloan Museum and Longway Planetarium. Located in Flint, Michigan, Sloan*longway is funded in part by the Genesee County Arts Education and Cultural Enrichment Millage funds, which means that your tax dollars are at work to support this educational institution.
At Sloan Museum, visitors can explore the rich history of Genesee County through interactive exhibits that showcase everything from Native American artifacts to vintage automobiles. The museum's permanent collection includes over 60,000 objects that tell the story of Flint's past and present.
