What a quirky and wonderful place! We had a great time roaming around the grounds and wandering in and out of the many building there. It's very beautiful walking around. I liked the steamboat and the carousel. Everything else was great too. Loved the strange buildings just plopped down where they normally wouldn't be. Like the lighthouse nowhere near water. Makes for very interesting photos.

Wow what a special place. We had low expectations from another museum but it was awesome. Great gardens surrounding these special buildings. The ones we loved are the one with dolls, the toys building, the barn with carriages, the general store and the one with stuffed animals. And the very special circus building near the carousel. There a nice Cafe and gift shop in the middle of the museum. We loved it.

This museum extends to over 30 buildings with great walking paths. There are some buildings still closed for safety during the pandemic, but it is still so worth the price of admission. We spent about 5 hours there and didn't even get to see everything that was open. There are so many different interest areas represented. I particularly enjoyed the Circus building full of carousel animals and getting to walk through the SS Ticonderoga. Worth a stop, but try to plan for 2 days if you can!

More than met our expectations. Well worth the entry fee. It did help that the weather was perfect. 72 and sunny. Such a fantastic art collection. Small, but impressive. The look back into another century was so much fun, and the gardens and grounds are so beautiful. Highly recommend.

Super neat place to come for all ages. Eclectic collections of historical buildings and artifacts, well curated and documented. I was very surprised to find original Monet and Degas works here as well as a working blacksmiths shop, a luxury train car, a lighthouse, a massive steamboat, a sawmill, doll collection, apothecary, and circus replica. It is too much to do in one day so they give you a second day's pass free when you buy a family pass (but it has to be consecutive days). Loved this! I am looking forward to going back and telling friends. Grounds are beautiful, collections well kept, staff kind and knowledgeable. They have clean restrooms, a Cafe and lots of benches for resting all around the grounds. Some buildings with tight spaces are closed because of COVID (ie. Train car and lighthouse)
