Last year, we had a flood in our house affecting the kitchen, living and dining rooms. When we looked for replacement flooring we knew we wanted something waterproof. SelecTech's floors were appealing because, though they were a bit pricier than others, we would have no problem installing them ourselves. And, they required no underlayment, no padding, and no leveling our concrete slab. This translated to a cost savings and time savings.
The service was fabulous. Daniela was available to answer my questions and send samples. When they didn't have enough of the color we wanted, she found a color I liked even more in their commercial line.
We installed the floor ourselves (and we are not do-it-yourself people). A friend who felt comfortable with a table saw help with the cutting. It looked really lovely. We still get compliments.
A year later, the fridge began to leak slowly under the new floor. We didn't know till the water began seeping up between the seams. Here's the best part. We were able to remove the tiles that got wet, wash and dry them in the sun, wash the concrete underneath and put everything back like new. Easy-peasy. If we'd had laminate or even another kind of vinyl, that would not have been possible. I am SOOOO glad we got this floor.
