Santouka Ramen: The Authentic Taste of Hokkaido

Santouka Ramen is a Japanese restaurant chain that specializes in serving authentic Hokkaido-style ramen. Founded in Asahikawa, Hokkaido in 1988, the company has since expanded to over 60 locations worldwide, including Japan, the United States, Canada, Singapore, Hong Kong and Taiwan.

At Santouka Ramen, we believe that food should not only be delicious but also bring joy to our customers. That's why we have been committed to preserving the same taste and quality of our ramen since our inception. Our founder Hitoshi Hatanaka was inspired by his favorite author and poet Takiji Kobayashi's novel "The Crab Cannery Ship" which features a character named Sanpachi who loves eating ramen from a small shop called "Yamagoya". This led him to create Santouka Ramen with the aim of bringing happiness through food.

Our signature dish is shio (salt) ramen which is made with a clear broth that is simmered for hours using pork bones and other ingredients such as chicken feet and vegetables. We also offer other types of ramen such as shoyu (soy sauce), miso (fermented soybean paste), tonkotsu (pork bone) and tsukemen (dipping noodles). All our noodles are made fresh daily using high-quality flour from Hokkaido.

Apart from our delicious food offerings, we also take pride in providing excellent customer service. Our staff members are trained to greet customers with warm hospitality known as "omotenashi" in Japanese culture. We want every customer who walks into any of our restaurants to feel welcomed and satisfied with their dining experience.

If you're interested in learning more about Santouka Ramen or finding a location near you, please visit our website where you can read about the history behind Yamagoya's name change to Santouka Ramen after its founder Juzaburo-san passed away; browse through menus featuring appetizers like gyoza dumplings or karaage fried chicken; check out photos showcasing different styles of bowls used at each location; or even watch videos showing how some dishes are prepared!

In conclusion, if you're looking for an authentic taste of Hokkaido-style ramen served with warm hospitality then look no further than Santouka Ramen!
