One of the best speakers in this price bracket. They deliver a lush, balanced sound that pairs beautifully with my Marantz receiver. Roth Audio really nailed the design here—the rounded corners and magnetic grille look fantastic, and the speakers sound great regardless of where you put them, with no need for extra acoustic treatment. When set up in a stereo triangle, the soundstage is impressive, with vocals centered and instruments panned perfectly left and right. Truly lovely little units.

I’ve been using my Roth speakers for a couple of years now, mounted on the wall beside my monitor for everything from music to video calls and films. Paired with a Denon D-M41DAB to handle my Mac and PC inputs, they deliver a crisp, clear audio experience with impressive bass depth. The white units look great with their sleek design, and honestly, they offer some of the best value for money I’ve ever experienced. Highly recommended by this user.

I’m really disappointed with the OLi Subwoofer. Despite the company, Roth Audio, making quality soundbars like the Roth BAR 2 LX, this sub’s performance is lacking. The 8-inch active woven fiber driver produces bass that is described as powerful but managed, yet in practice, it feels underwhelming. The rear panel has volume and crossover controls, plus inputs like RCA and banana plug terminals, but the overall experience doesn’t match the premium feel I expected from Roth Audio. The large heat sink ensures reliable operation, which is a small plus, but it doesn’t make up for the lackluster sound quality.

Roth Audio’s latest OLi lineup offers a comprehensive home theater setup for just £850, but the value proposition feels a bit mixed. You get the RA4 and RA3 floorstanders alongside the smaller RA2 and RA1 bookshelf speakers, which retail for £400, £300, £150, and £100 per pair respectively. The package is rounded out with the £100 C30 center channel and the £250 KH30 subwoofer. While the price point is certainly attractive for a complete system, the overall experience has kept my rating on the lower side.

If you’re looking to upgrade a compact stereo setup without sacrificing bass depth, I can’t recommend this enough. I recently integrated it into my Roth Audio system to enhance my vinyl listening experience, as I’m limited on floor space and couldn’t go with larger tower speakers. The transformation is striking—records now have a rich, clear low-end that my previous bookshelf speakers just couldn’t match alone. Installation was straightforward. Since my amplifier lacked a dedicated sub output, I routed the L-R signals through the unit to the speakers using 14 AWG wire. Whether you use banana plugs or bare wire, the connections are secure. I positioned it slightly off-center between my speakers, set the crossover to 80Hz, and cranked the volume to about 60%, which delivers an incredible soundstage. Visually, it fits perfectly into my shelving unit’s base compartments. It also handles a TV connection in a 2.1 setup flawlessly. Just a heads-up on the four included cone feet: they have sharp points that might scratch wooden floors, so I had to improvise some protective spacers. Despite that minor detail, the build quality and performance are outstanding for the size. A top-tier choice for anyone wanting to squeeze big sound out of a small system.

I’m really fond of the Roth VA 4 speakers; they look stunning. However, the remote control feels like a step down from the high quality of the speakers. It’s made of lightweight, cheap-feeling plastic that gets tacky over time. After just six months, while changing the battery, the button pin actually snapped off. For a brand that makes such great audio equipment like the Roth BAR 2 LX, the remote feels more functional than premium.
