Show was wonderful. Meal was very good .Bread pudding was a little too hard but rest of desserts were good.
Once again an amazing experience at Rosebud. The level of the performance is comparable to any major theater. We have never been disappointed. It's definitely worth the drive
If you haven t been to Rosebud Dinner theatre, you MUST get out there at least once. Small town community that supports the arts, as we all should. The food is average, but the theatre is far above!
Excellent place for an evening out. Great performances to watch. Quiet little rustic town
Most definitely a very unique experience with the buffet. The shows are excellent!
Absolutely awesome. Play was great from beginning to end. Food was best we have had in years .
Very tasty buffet, excellent food variety and selection, marvelous hosting staff. Incredibly talented actors for stage performances. Great value for $84
This is one of the most unique settings anywhere that draws Canadian acting talent to perform in these amazing plays put on - just saw their production of The Spitfire Grill - very well performed with piano, cello, violin, guitar accompaniment and some interesting plot twists if you are observant.
The dinner theatre package is great value - a first class buffet dinner with great service as well - primary staffed by students from the Rosebud School of the Arts - who are always friendly and love to discuss Rosebud Theatre with you.
There is a campground/golf course just out of town towards Standard - actually another on the other side of the road - Akokiniskway Golf Course on one side and High Eagle RV park on the other side - there are lots of B & B's in the village - permanent population is less than 200 and the buildings one in this historic village make it a must see!!
I really enjoyed the production of Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat. I did not know what to expect but was pleasantly surprised. I loved the vibe of the small town theater. The dinner buffet was not what I would call the best culinary experience I have ever had, but I should point out that the desserts were, however, very good. All in all, a very pleasant experience.
Great pkg deal. Great food and very gifted actors. Went with church group. Very accommodating.
A great performance & venue. Rosebud Theatre is one of Alberta's best tourism treasures.
Amazing! Wonderful! Awesome! Also, the delicious big food buffet served by the theatre restaurant.
My wife and I love going to the theatre at Rosebud! The meal before the show is always great and the shows are always so well done! We buy seasons tickets every year. The Rosebud Experience is always a date night we look forward to!
First time in Rosebud. Can not believe we have never been here in the last 40 years. Had a great buffet lunch. Dare you to walk out hungry!!!! Our show was Bright Star. Phenomenal!!!!!!!!!. Great portrayal of how society thought and acted back in 1920 and 1940's. Emotional and very uplifting. Recommend big time.
Cute town with several excellent gift shops. The buffet is excellent. Service is friendly but slow getting us coffee to drink with dessert. The play, A Christmas Story, was excellent. Lots of energy.
What an amazing experience, i had a wonderful time at the show and the food beforehand was great. The service was great and the people are even better. Thank you for the amazing evening.
The place is something to experience. This is an arts community with a major theater school. The whole community is involved. From campsites to excellent B&B's and a couple of bestro style restaurants and original artwork galleries thrown in! Take in the renowned live theater or music presentations. Combine it with the dinner theater experience for the best afternoon or evening ever! We try and get there every year at least twice if possible.
A beautiful spot to enjoy in the summertime for an outdoor concert.
Great theatre, good buffet, and with free parking in a quaint little village. What is not to like! We have been season ticket holders for over ten years at a variety of theatre houses and the performances in Rosebud Theatre are often superior to the professional theatre offered in the big city. With the meal included it is the best value for entertainment and food.
The place is renovated and looks much better than before
Rosebud Theatre is more than just food and great live theatre, it's a whole experience. The small hamlet is filled with some of the most talented people in the arts from all over Canada. You can stroll along the streets and see unique little shops, stay at a B&B, and even take in a golf game the next day at their great little par 3 course. It's a great weekend getaway destination and it's right here in our back yard!!
We are not theatre goers but gave Rosebud a try and we were pleasantly surprised. Good play and it was an enjoyable experience.
We love the shows and dinner buffet!! Can't wait to go again!
We had a lovely buffet lunch prior to a matinee performance of Bright Star, a most engaging musical. Kudos to the multi-talented cast for a first rate performance. The physical setting of Rosebud is quite magical. I will certainly be back again.
Great food, and wonderful thought provoking entertainment in a beautiful country setting.
The food was good and hot. It was a buffet style and they had a good variety all thought out. The play was Joseph and the technical dream coat and the actors where great. I loved that the took the play and put their own spin on it. They were upbeat and energetic. I had I great time and the hole experience was worth the drive and the money.
It's the best little theatre company ever. The little stage is magical and is transformed into whatever is necessary. I have been a number of times and have to see a bad performance. Love it!
A beautiful little town nestled in a valley is host to an awesome theater project that is way bigger than the town. Awesome performance by top notch actors, toss in lunch or dinner and you have an incredible day out! Wander the town's shops and enjoy the scenery before or after the performance. Alberta's best kept secret!
Really good food and great show. Exceeded expectations
The buffet is always good, the staff friendly, and the shows can be so-so to great. The 'Caribou Magi' fits into the great category.
We have been here many times over the years! It is one of our favourite places to take visitors; they are always delighted by the whole experience - the good buffet and the EXCELLENT theatrical performances! Such a wonderful place to visit in the Alberta Badlands!
Fantastic dinner and a show combo. Just saw another episode of Wingfield Farms, what a great and funny performance!
Definitely recommend Rosebud for a show; should be on your bucket list. The quality is top notch.
We love the Rosebud Dinner Theatre. The plays are always good.
Enjoyed the studio stage presentation of "Lilia". A very moving 1 hour play. The evening performance of "The Kite" was excellent! We laughed and laughed. Lots of seats were empty and we were there on Saturday evening. The food was good. Maybe our timing was bad, but many dishes were not full when we went through the lineups. Overall, a wonderful way to spend a Saturday!
We enjoyed a brunch in Rosebud and a live performance of Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat.
Food was good, play was great and the staff was positive and friendly
My daughter and I traveled from the States to Alberta to see some of its finest. We saw "The Spitfire Grill" at the Rosebud. Although, due to the size and proximity, we didn't expect much, the production was spectacular. I couldn't get enough of the three female leads singing together.
The whole community seems committed to the success of the Theater. We drove in from Calgary and it was well worth it. I would definitely return again if I am in the area. Thank you Alberta, for supporting enriching cultural experiences among such beautiful scenery. Rosebud is definitely a treasure.
Absolutely amazing place! The dinner was perfect and the show was marvelous! Just loved it!
We watched Bright Star and it was amazing! The acting was fantastic, and hilarious and entertaining.
Just returned from a performance of "Driving Miss Daisy". Absolutely wonderful. Standing ovations. Been here many times and have never been disappointed. Very professional production and casts.
Great food, good play, great acting. A pleasurable experience!
The Kite was an excellent performance in all respects. One of the very best at a theatre I find to be first class.
Great pkg deal. Great food and very gifted actors. Went with church group. Very accommodating.
Magical and charming. Great customer service..outstanding food selection on buffet..play was excellent..picturesc setting among the hills with charming shops and art galleries. Bed and breakfast accomedation available . A wonderful experience
Camped at high eagle and walked to a very good performance and a nice dinner with friends.
The meal associated with the theater was fantastic. We'll worth the cost of admission
Had a great time , entertained and great food , highly recomend!!
Rosebud is an awesome place to spend an afternoon evening. It is a small picturesque, quaint little hamlet, the whole town gets behind the Rosebud Theatre's school and performances. The buffet meal is always great with lots of tasty choices, so everyone come away from the table content. The shows are fantastic and incredibly well delivered. You can feel the passion that everyone feels for what they are serving, performing or singing. Well worth the trip.
The theater performance was outstanding and I was emotionally moved. I would definitely go again. I just wish the location was closer to Calgary. The buffet food was good but not outstanding and they did struggle to keep a constant supply of all the dishes.
Really enjoyed the whole evening. Food was very good and the play was excellent. Highly recommend a trip to Rosebud.
We saw Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat and it was amazing. Had so much fun with my husband for our wedding anniversary. It was also delicious food for dinner, we will be back soon.
It's a great little town with some little art stores and hysterical museum. The theater that most visitors go to always put on great plays! The restaurant could have some better food for buffet though. Overall a great place to visit and and enjoy a great show! I enjoyed going there.
Fabulous drama production and great brunch, especially the bacon!
Fantastic plays, great food and such a pretty location.
The food was pretty good, the play was extremely well done we saw a Christmas story and even my 5 and 3 year old enjoyed it!
Oh my goodness, I just can't stop gushing good things about this place. The food was awesome & the play was even better !
Delicious dinner theatre, friendly people, wonderful production. The town is astonishingly small but absolutely darling. Beautiful Alberta valley with sunflowers and a pond. Altogether a lovely experience.
A quaint little town with a prevalence of art and drama. Walked around the town. Met an elderly guy who displayed model trains in his front garden but his cat stole the show- so friendly! The theater show 'Joseph and his amazing technicolor dresmcoat' was well done. We didn't do the lunch theater just the theater.
The Diaries of Adam and Eve was wonderful experience. Excellent production and performance. Definitely worth time, money and the long drivie to get there.
I have been wanting to come out here for years. The whole experience was just wonderful. The scenery of this little village is lovely, even in the winter. The dinner buffet was excellent and the show was great. Stay at one of the local B&B so you don't have to drive back in the dark. I'm looking forward to coming back.
The place is renovated and looks much better than before
Excellent food and entertainment during the meal (3 singers, students from Rosebud performing Arts). The play Spitfire Grill was very well done, with great performances. It was perfect for this location. Would definitely visit again.
This is a favorite place to go for drive through the prairies and have a good dinner theater experience. This is well produced from the buffet food to the acting. While always thoughtful, it is not offensive and is clean. We enjoy bring out of town guest out to Rosebud to experience this.
Absolutely fantastic getaway from the city with a great play
Better than we expected. We really enjoyed ourself.
The productions at the Rosebud Theatre are excellent first class entertainment, and once you try it...you will come back again.
We went to see the show "Spitfire Grill" and it was amazing. The buffet lunch before the show was excellent as well. Rosebud dinner theater is a great place to go for a relaxing and enriching experience. You will not be disappointed!
Buffer Dinner of roast beef, salad, rice, and an amazing selection of desserts. The show was great "A Christmas Story" with the infamous BB gun in all it's glory. Looking forward to more visits and great shows
Play is always enjoysble
Food is always plentiful and delicious.
The food is great. I love the high quality of the plays. Well worth the price and i easily choose them over the Calgary troops. Opening nights are particularly good ... meet the actors, also the have regular meet the director nights, check their web site for details. Oh and i strongly recommend their seasons tickets... make it a regular part of your year. We buy 5 season's passes a year so we can take various friends with us.
