Rocket Ice Arena

Rocket is great! This family owned rink offers convenient public skate times, a family friendly environment, and makes skating super fun for kids! They're one of the only rinks around that has skating gliders for little ones. At 63, my husband played hockey all his life, but stopped when things with our four kids got too hectic. He started skating again on a weekly basis last year for exercise and plans his weekends around the public skate at Rocket !!

Our children love Rocket Ice for open skate, learn to play hockey, stick and puck and birthday parties! Coaches are awesome and really connect to the children!

Rockets is a great family owned establishment with so many skating programs for young and old.My grandson started learn to skate hockey about eight months ago and has worked his way up to level five with the guidance of the Rockets coaching staff.It s amazing to watch him progress week after week.I also enjoy the stick and puck program at Rockets. It gives this proud 65 year old grandfather some one on one time to skate with his 5 year old grandson in a little competitive hockey.
I recommend Rockets Ice to anyone interested in ice skating with that family feel!!!

By far the best rink around. From the ice conditions, to the cleanliness, to the concessions, to the staff from Zamboni driver to Owner this place is heads and tails above the rest. It takes many different people to run an organization like they have and I have to say that the staff is about as dialed in as you can get. My son is 3 and we go open skating every Saturday and Sunday. The place is ROCKIN! If you have been to open skate at other rinks and you haven't been here YOU ARE MISSING OUT! Every time we are their we have a great time- and let me tell you its because of the People. The staff goes out of their way to care- the world needs more good people like the Team at Rocket! Whatever you are doing keep it up!

We had our daughter s birthday at Rocket Ice. It was a great experience for the girls. We had a teenage girl assigned to assist with us the whole time. That was awesome. She got all the girls on the ice no matter their ability. Definitely recommend.

The rocket ice arena is one of the best ice rinks in the southwest suburbs. The rocket ice arena holds many activities ranging from youth hockey to free style skating, and more. A personal favorite activity of mine is Stick and Puck as the extra ice time has allowed me to progress my career at a friendly price and goalies get in for free. Also the atmosphere is very calming ,and most of the people around the rink are friendly.

This is a great place to learn to skate, play hockey, or to just have fun with the family! Clean facility and great instructors!

My family has been coming to Rocket for years- first for open skate, now our son has occasional games there, or will go for private coaching during Stick & Puck. I love that there is so much ice time made available for Stick & Puck! Rocket is a wonderful facility. I look forward to my son attending hockey camp there over the summer!

Great rink. In addition to two rinks, there is a nice lounge and cafe. Staff is always kind and helpful.

This is a great ice rink with friendly and helpful staff. My co-worker's kids play hockey here occasionally and I've only heard good things from them.

Very awesome! My daughter is a Sabre and loves skating here! Staff are very kind. Can't be more happy with service. Only bad thing is that birthdays make it so crowded. Ice is good and staff are funny and generous. Pubic skate is scheduled perfectly and not too overcrowded. Can't wait for the next practice or public skate!

Rocket Ice Arena has provided my son and his friends so many opportunities to not only have fun, but develop as hockey players. The facility is spacious and comfortable for the families to come and enjoy the game and socialize while the kids are engaged in activities on the ice. We had a blast at Rocket Ice Skating, and this was the very first time attempting to ice skate. The staff is super friendly and helpful, made me feel so welcome and try my best even though I was bent over on support frame ;). I would definitely go again, and will definitely attempt to get the hang of ice skating! We went as a group, and our family had such a fantastic experience!

My kids and I all play hockey, so we have been to rinks all over the Midwest. I have to say Rocket is one of our favorites.

They have two well maintained sheets of ice, nice sized clean locker rooms, and excellent viewing areas. This includes a second floor balcony that overlooks the ice and is great for watching hockey!

Like many rinks in the area Rocket offers several youth hockey and figure skating classes, and they are home to a big name travel hockey program (the Sabers). But what really sets Rocket apart from the other guys is their extra, more unique programs. This includes summer camps (my boys loved the Triple S camps), convenient Rat hockey times, a 40 and over Rat hockey session, a 50 and over hockey league, adult hockey lessons, and more Stick & Puck sessions than any other rink in the area.

The adult hockey lessons are pretty cool. There are usually a mix of beginners and more experienced skaters, but it s always a great workout. The Stick & Puck is my favorite because I get a chance to skate with my younger guys. They love it!

Great place for family skating. Has places also for just seat and watch your skating famuly. And hot chocolate :)

Love the rink! They have lots of open ice time for stick and puck year round! Very friendly and helpful staff, and an overall good atmosphere to be in! Couldn t ask for much more than that.

I love bringing my boys here! Cozy place, great owners and a lot of stick and puck availability on the schedule. The owner goes out of his way to make sure they are offering enough skate options for the kids. Highly recommend!

Been taking my daughter here for over 5 years, staff and coaches are great especially Coach Katie. Figure skating program is A plus and the ice is always great. Highly recommended for the learn to skate program and also just to get on the ice for fun.

Did a camp here and it was a phenomenal experience working with Ed and the staff. They accommodated everything I needed and responded quickly and happily to my requests. Top notch facility! Very impressive!

Can't say enough great things about Rocket Ice. We have been doing figure skating for our daughter and hockey for our son for the last year. Hockey coaches are amazing with the kids. So patient and devoted to their growth and skill development. Same for the figure skating coaches as well. This is not the closest rink to our house but, wouldn't want to go anywhere else after our experience. Would highly recommend.

Rocket Ice was a very clean, friendly ice arena to visit. The staff and owner were very friendly and accommodating. They also have 2 very nice lounges with fireplaces to warm up by after you get off the ice. I look forward to returning soon!

We love the public skate themes. We have been to many birthday parties and school fundraisers at Rocket Ice. They are always a great time! Fantastic owner and staff!

Rocket Ice is a great place! The rink has a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. My son loves going to the Stick and Puck, to work on his hockey skills.

This place would totally have 5 stars but rat hockey can be way too full sometimes and rich kids NEVER change. Staff is so nice and the ice is great.

I had an employee who was very intoxicated come up to me in a very hostile manner because I was on the wrong side of the ice for stick and puck when there were little kids on the opposite side. We wanted to get out of their way because they were having private lessons and were half the size of us. We thought we were doing the safe thing but apparently the extremely high employee believed otherwise. After this I was teamed up on by 2 other employees who were not involved in the situation in the first place. They were also extremely rude and really should not be working in customer service if they are going to act that way around people. They ruined and otherwise solid skate.

My family and I had an awesome time skating at Rocket Ice Skating Rink this past Sunday. My father in law has been skating here for years and loves this place!! The music was awesome and Ed ( the owner) was fun to have skating with us. We would definitely come back for open skate!!

We love Ice Skating so much. We had to Check our daughter into a eating disorder place. We went ice skating the night before. Rocket Ice Rink helped our daughter forget for that moment about her eating disorder. She had alot of fun. When she got discharged, we went back to Rocket Ice Arena. it is wonderful there to ice skate. it looks very inviting, and welcoming. To us it looked like a ski lodge but for ice skating. I'm glad because I hate downhill skiing and love ice skating.

Rocket has been absolutely amazing to work with for years. My son had his birthday here, we have had a number of parties here, and we skate here for open skate and stick and puck all the time. And the hockey programs here are really great!

My family and I have been using Rocket Ice for the last two years. My son started ice skating last winter at the free Woodridge Park District ice rink and showed interest in hockey. We researched the surrounding programs and went with Rocket Ice mainly for the cost and free VIP pass for public skate (for a new skater this was pivotal!!!). He quickly advanced through the program and has fallen in love with the sport and the coaches. My daughter also found interest from watching her brother and is now a competent skater as well. We will be leaving the area in June and this will be one of the places my family will miss the most. Keep up the great work!!!

We LOVE Rocket Ice arena! This place is such a gem in Bolingbrook. We absolutely love the open skate, and my husband loves playing with his guys there. We recently had a birthday party there and it was SO much fun!!!! The rink was connected to our party room and the guests had a blast. For an ice rink, it's actually a very nice setup for parties. The Rocket team was extremely helpful before, during and after the party which I was so grateful for. The owner, Ed, was very helpful with helping arrange things so our guests had the best possible time. We will definitely be back for more events and parties, and will continue having our fun at open skates!!

Rocket Ice is my young son's "home ice." Since January, 2016, he has enjoyed the Learn to Skate program and the Learn to Play Hockey classes. All of his instructors have been top notch professionals. He also appreciated and greatly benefitted from the countless sessions of open public skate while enrolled in the Learn programs. We have now entered the Sabre Hockey organization family. The entire staff at Rocket Ice is wonderful and courteous. The more time you spend at the facility, the more appreciation you gain with its home-like feel. We also greatly appreciate and utilize the open public skate and Stick and Puck sessions that are purposely made available when the local area schools are not in session during the school year.

We love this place! Ed and his crew made us feel like family and easily accommodated our group of 70+. We will use them again for all our ice skating events!

I was visiting from out of town and had a great time at Rocket Ice Skating Rink. The staff was welcoming and the facilities were very nice. Will be back the next time I am in the Chicago area.

I had a very pleasant experience with Rocket Ice! Planning our event could not have been any easier! The party rooms are so conveniently close to the ice and it made for a great party setup. Every staff memeber we encountered was so kind and able to assist in any way we needed. This rink is so worth visiting for an open skate, or taking lessons! They try and sham your money they make it so you can t have data and you have to use their WiFi which is just the worst WiFi
And the locker rooms are small and can t fit teams

Has no security I went and a false fire alarm had been done and I had no scare time because someone pulled the fire alarm

The owners of the facility worked very hard to accommodate half of our school to come in for a skating session. The ice was great and the workers really helped all of the students with their rentals. By far the best rental skates I have seen at any facility as well. Thank you for a great experience!

We love Rocket! Great learn to play hockey programs and probably the most stick and puck of any rink in the state. Great place for our 4 year old to have fun and learn the game of hockey.

Great place. You can usually skate for 1 hour before you get tired. Only bad thing is that your ankle starts to hurt after 45 to 50 minutes.

Nice Coaches, adult hockey lesson program in this ice arena is really good. Especially I like scrimmage at the end. It is well organized program and has good coaches. If you want to start playing hockey then this is the place to go.

I'm a former state champion high school hockey player and played minor league hockey in Canada.

I skate at Rocket Ice Arena in Bolingbrook one to two times a week primarily on the weekends for health and fitness.

I've been coming to Rocket ice arena now for the past 5 yrs to not only skate myself but especially to bring my son to skate at the stick & puck rocket offers. It's hard to find stick & puck sessions in are area so its great that rocket offers so many to fit any schedule. My son plays sled hockey and loves to get as much ice time as he can to improve his skills. The facility is great,clean and staff is very friendly. All around great experience when skating there.

I recently played there for an alumni game and had a great time. The ice was great, the staff helped out with everything we needed, and I will definitely be going back there for more hockey.

Skating, hockey, and practicing my hockey skills are all a part of my life. A 71 year old man like me needs to find a way to get strenuous physical activity to keep in good shape and hopefully live a long and healthy life.
I love skating at Rocket Ice Arena. Its in a great location for me, its clean, kept up and the employees are friendly and competent. I especially like the great schedule they have for "Stick and Puck". I can go there and suit up and skate and practice just about any time I want. There's no hassle and the ice surface is always kept up in great shape. The locker rooms, bathrooms, and showers are clean and they don't smell bad like other rinks I have gone to. I hate to change into my gear in a place that smells bad. Sometimes I bring my wife along and although she doesn't skate, she can sit in the nice lobby area and wait for me comfortably. She can also watch the skating from an indoor area that is not so cold as sitting on bleachers in the actual arena.
So, if you are in the neighborhood and you like to skate, give Rocket Ice a try, and I'm sure you will have a great time.

This particular facility really pays attention to making ice skating fun for families, something very different from any other place in the area.
