What a great place. I love this place! Fun and lots of people hanging out. Super cool. Great food and drinks. Saturday s at noon are very busy and lots to look at. Right next to the beach it s a day trip and more.
Great food, great service and a great selection of wine and fine spirits! Their Mahi coconut sliders are amazing!
Highly recommend the Alaskan king crab. Great wine list.
Perfectly prepared battered fish but the fried where too skinny for my taste. Massive cobb salad with plenty of shrimp. Ok Craft draft beer selection. Friendly accommodating service. 3 adults, baby and stroller no problem.
I usually stay away from cream sauces items. But my friend raved about their Jambalaya and said I must try it. Being a foodie who lived in Louisiana, I'm real critical. The Seafood Jambalaya was on point. I had mine with jasmine rice. It took everything in me to not overeat and finish the dish. I took the rest on the plane and enjoyed it the next day mad I didn't have more.
Stopped here for a quick bite, loved clam chowder. A little before 7 pm on a Friday night after catching some sun, very accommodating Host, stored away our beach bag and chair. Sorry, no pictures. That's how good it was our dish. I had many clam chowders and I gotta say this was the best.
The blackened halibut was excellent. My favorite wide turned out to be the deemed corn. It was the best I had ever had. Surprised me in the best way possible. Place is noisy so if you are after quiet go somewhere else because it is fun and lively inside.
Overpriced for average quality. Not coming back for the food. Nice location though.
It was good, and the service wasn't bad, either. It's a lot of tourists and parking can be challenging.
Best tasting fish and chips,,, service was excellent and friendly. Small bar but plenty of drink choices. Really like this place .
Fast, fresh, and fabulous. We ate here on a whim, headed home to the O.C. wanting to avoid the traffic. Got seated right away, ordered Navy Grog and happily slurped away until our main courses arrived. Steak Frites for me and Korean Short ribs for my hubby. Oh, how I wish my Flat Iron Steak turned out like this! Perfection! Nestled in a cast iron skillet filled with shoe string garlic fries. Yum! The Short ribs did not disappoint either served with baby bok choy and Jasmine pineapple rice. The service was impeccable. Great meal after a long day waiting for our son to take his military oath. Which he did. A very good day indeed. Eat here!
Excellent restaurant with good location near the pier of Manhattan Beach. Fast service. Delicious dishes. But the portions are not the largest. The place is quite atmospheric and romantic. Nice view nearby at sunset.
It was a little pricey but the food was very good. The server was great. The drinks were good. The food came out quick. Overall I had an enjoyable experience.
My hubby and I found this while walking along the beach and we both loved the fish tacos w/ sweet potato fries and the salmon sandwich w/ szechuan green beans. Yum!
Second best burger behind Peter Lu gars. Amazing bagels, fresh. The staff is friendly and helpful! This place is full of the charm we have come to expect from Sunny side.So alawyes is Very good.
The Kapalua Rib eye steak was amazing. Everything was first class. I have been here a handful of times and it is always excellent.
A fantastic meal. My seared ahi Tuna was perfect. Servers were prompt and helpful. The beach side out door dining was plesamt, but remember to bring a jacket if you go in the evening, the breeze can get chilly.
Great food and staff - especially the bartender Tony.
Great service. Patient with out kids. Good with my soybean allergy.
Consistency is key and I have been going here occasionally for years and they have not let me down. There are some dishes that have not exactly hit the spot for me but I can never fault the preparation or service here.
Taco is not used to taste, seafood is delicious, and the service is not bad.
Took us to dirty table when there are plenty of clean ones. Waited over 15 min for service AFTER we made the request.
NOT RECOMMENDING THIS place.
Waiter was downright rude
A restaurant that is always eaten for dinner when you visit Manhattan Beach. You can eat at a reasonable price.
The Heuvos Rancheros is incredible. The Benedict is incredible. Everything is so good. The bottomless mimosas are great and there is multiple flavor choices. Also my boy Aaron was a great server. He made the experience even better.
Wait staff were phenomenal- food was borderline terrible. Fish tacos- old very strong flavored fish, tasted like it was on verge of spoilage. The green beans were so old they were like eating edamame whole. The crab cake was bland and tasted more of oil than crab and filling. Sorry to say, sub par experience. Your service was wonderful though.
Superb ambience and super personal service. The meals were fresh and delightful. Will easily recommend this place to friends. Reasonable rates and generous portions. Good job.
My husband and I went to Rock n Fish for our anniversary dinner and it was great. The service was excellent (shout out to Stephanie!). The food was delicious.
Definitely try the Mahi sliders! I had the lobster tails and my handsome husband had the most popular dish - blackened halibut.
We had the best seat in the house (7 pm reservation) to see the sunset over Manhatten Beach pier.
Thanks to the manager (didn't catch a name?) who brought us champagne when we arrived and bourbon glazed cake for desert! We would definitely go back again!
Keep on rockin in Manhatten Beach!
I loved the fish and chips !!! Congratulations for the excellent service and food! I was very well served and on top of that I received great tourism tips! Good vibe, good people, good food, good music! Congratulations!
The staff were fantastic and polite, attentive and fast. The food, meh. No homemade buns or fries. I know it's beachfront property and you pay for the view (which is worth it). I give the food a 3 star, the staff and location a 5 star, so I evened it out.
Mixed drinks and fresh bread where great
There's a list of many many wines and not that many meals on the menu and meals are pricey
Service was good and friendly
The food and location, the service was particularly good. The only reason I m giving it 4 stars is because I was seated beside a family of very young children. When dining on ones own, not everyone always wants to tolerate other people s noisy or poorly behaved children. Please bear that in mind in future.
Incredible food! I had the crab cakes with brussel sprouts along with broccolini and mushrooms. My fiance had blackened fish tacos with sweet potato fries.
Some of the best food I have had in the area with a cool atmosphere near the beach. The staff is very welcoming and work together great as a team to take care of their customers.
They also have a great bar selection!
My husband and I went there for our Anniversary and we're not disappointed. The surf and turf was so delicious! Three waiters and other staff were helpful, respectful and friendly. We ate "inside": the Plexiglas separations, the waiters who wore masks/shields and the open to air architecture helped us feel Covid-safe.
Excellent seafood, generous pours, and can't beat the view!
They would have gotten 5 Stars, but the Seafood Jambalaya needs work. The raw oysters were sublime, the grilled fish was outstanding, lava cake for desert was a great finish.
The service was too good. My main (seafood jumbalaya) arrived before I had finished my starter (chowder). Then they brought me my check without asking me if I would like another drink or dessert. Ever felt that they want you out? So, I took my time having another drink. Fortunately the quality of the food and drink was excellent
I gotta say that this is a great located place, the seating is a little difficult sometimes because it gets crowded, in regards of the food, its amazing i had the lobster and it was very very nice, the only downside is that its quite price, go there on a special occasion or often if you can afford it.
The restaurant is great! Service is top-notch and the food is abundant. Prices are regular for the area I guess. I asked for the manager, and he had the kindness to come to my table to talk to us. He was very friendly and answered all my questions. I recommend Rock'N fish widely.
Food was amazing, sorry we were in such a rush that we had to be quick for our visit, definitely place worth hanging out for a but and taking your time.
Nice location. Great ambiance. Food..... Not so much . Swordfish was rubbery and bland and the highly suggested bread pudding was dry and really bad. If going for a drink with friends.... Go for it. If going for an excellent dinner....look elsewhere.
Very expensive. But very worth it. Seaside restaurant with amazing high class decor. We got to sit upstairs and look down on all guests eating. It was a fun time. I ordered the salmon sandwich and my brother got the seafood jumbalaya. We had a fun time with stain glass fish on the walls and candle lit tables
Busy with a great atmosphere and interesting people. Service was very good and food lived up to great expectations.
My favorite restaurant ever. The food is always great especially the calamari and salmon. Not the best for young children, no kids menu and can get crowded
Love this place Jambalaya and Crispy Calamari were great. Amazing customer service and the atmosphere
Finest food, super nice staff, regularly excellent atmosphere. They charge convenient pricing and the food quality is fantastic. Keep up the good work.
Awesome location and great service. You can't go wrong with anything you order! Friendly staff, good service. Great drinks, good appetizers and main dishes.
Great service, wonderful Wedge salad and one of the beast Jambalaya I've had.
We found this awesome restaurant while roaming on my dad's birthday. It is sort of bohemian eclectic eccentric and amazingly comfortable spot with great food. So happy we opted not to go to a swanky upscale chain in the Marina- this is the type of neighborhood place you long to find. If you haven't been please check it out... I took as many photos of the environment and decor as of the food as it filled me with yearning to come home to CA after 12 years in the NY suburbs and another 12 outside Chicago... Did I mention the food is very tasty- prepared to order fresh and well seasoned? We loved it!
One of my favorite restaurants in Manhattan Beach. Once we heard they ve reopened, we booked a table for lunch today.
It seems like the restaurant put a lot of safety measures in place to keep diners safe from the virus. They ve placed plastic dividers between tables and kept a large gap between tables. In addition, all servers are in gloves, mask, and face shields. I definitely felt safe dining here today. They also place hand sanitizers in all corners of the restaurant including the entrance.
The menu is still the same. They still have my favorite fish tacos. My wife s favorite is their sourdough bread and fried calamari. We had both today. It was nice day to be out with the temperature s around 75F. Afterward we went to the beach and had some fun. It s quite refreshing to be out on the beach to soak up the sun and the fresh air.
WOW! Had the Cajun Rock fish and Redfish. Both dishes were AWESOME. The Rockfish came with a corn and cream sauce over a bed of asparagus and all the flavors complemented each other very well. The Redfish had a crispy pan fried finish in lite batter that did not overpower the thick piece of fish. No fish passed spelled of fishy fishy and I pretty much wanted to eat the plate it smelled so good.
Service was great and attentive but not in the way.
We love to dine out and this is a worth while venture.
Excellent food great service and restaurant's decor was inviting
Another Manhattan Beach gem. This is located right off of the pier. The food was fresh and delicious. The bartender was so friendly and helpful. He introduced himself and shook our hands. This is SO RARE. He was kind and knowledgeable about the menu. We had oysters and they were soooo good! They had these coconut crusted mahi mahi sliders that rocked my world. Definitely recommend those. Their Ahi Tuna salad hit the spot too. They had a really nice happy hour menu with affordable, delicious wines and appetizers. We ate here close to sunset and it got a little busy but nothing to bad. I would recommend and I will also do my best to go back. Glad we stopped in this place. I also heard great things of the bar next door. BrewCo. Check them out!
From the first moment you come to that restaurant the personel give you a great feeling. Very courteous hosts, it is a friendly place to enjoy with friends and colleagues or with your date. delightful meals, professional chief cook and stuff, honest pay and excellent service. Highly recommended.
Decent food, but prices are super high because of its location. Staff was awesome.
Great location and great food. Arrived with an weekend evening reservation and was immediately sat. The sourdough bread and calamari were great appetizers to split while the seafood jambalaya was excellent. There were so many different types of seafood in it and all were delicious. The concept of paying at the table was new but I prefer it now. We will be returning.
