A really nice facility. Wine selection is good for a small winery. We've known Steve for many years and his wines get better every year. I recommend the Tempranillo & Pinot Gris as best. His White Pinot Noir, Chardonnay & Syrah/Merlot blend are good too.

Excellent wines great host the Duns are music on the weekends

We spent a lazy Sunday afternoon recently on the patio at Redgate Winery (Independence area), while tasting some good wines and enjoying live guitar music. Once you place your order, it is brought to your table; hand sanitizers are available and the owners told us they work hard at cleaning before, during and after their open hours. It was not crowded at all and therefore easy for us to maintain social distancing. There were several seating areas where the always hospitable Steve and Char Dunn had created conversational groupings of various styles of furniture, indoors and under cover. The winery is of course all about the wine, and we sampled the tempranillo and the pinot gris, both prize winners in Oregon and maybe beyond. We started with a nice crisp glass of chilled pinot gris while we sat at our sunny picnic table, and later followed that up with the tempranillo, selected to complement our pizza choice of Ruthie's Italian sausage and mushroom pizza. The tempranillo stood up well to the slightly spicy sausage, rich sauce and generous helpings of cheese and mushrooms. That baby was loaded with more toppings than we'd ever seen on a pizza! Other highlights were the fresh basil and Ovenbird Bakery crust. Yum! What a treat! Our friend ordered the Meat Lovers pizza and declared it the best pizza she's ever eaten! We'll be back! Thanks, Redgate for being the whole package for a wonderful Sunday afternoon!

Great little winery and tasting room. Did a tasting flight of wine, all were wonderful. Nice live music and beautiful views of the countryside.

We arrived early, so had the place to ourselves. The wine was great as well as the conversation. Bought a bottle of the White pino and had a glass too. We will have to be back as this would be a great place to listen to some music!

Excellent vineyard. We got married at Redgate. It was an excellent venue for a ceremony and reception. Highly recommend! Great for having an intimate time with a glass of wine or seeing one of their live bands on the weekends during the summer. Their white pink noir is amazing. Check it out.

The owners are so nice and their wines are outstanding. Redgate is a boutique winery producing wines that exemplify the art of winemaking, understanding of the delicate fruit and the terrior of the soil. My current favorite is the 2015 Chardonnay. They have some amazing events and the summer yoga series will begin a perfect day of tasting and events.

Tried wines for the first time here with some experienced relatives. Owner is very nice, personable, & knowledgeable. Many unique, original flavors.

This is a cute little spot for a wedding, and they have great wine! The vineyard is right outside of the tasting room.
