Had the worst home mortgage broker referral of my life.
They referred an enquiry to Glenn Rowan from Get Interested - Finance & Property Investment Pty Ltd.
One enquiry sent through RateCity and I get the following request to lie and then a nasty email guilt tripping me for not wanting to lie:
Glenn: "If you don t need my assistance could you please do me a favour and let Rate City or Effi know that you haven t spoken to me, as it costs me $150.00 for your enquiry to be sent to me, even if I don t assist with anything and I can t afford to be throwing $150.00 out.
I hope this is ok?
Please let me know and if it is ok, please tell them you haven t spoken to me and don t require my assistance?"
Glenn: "No replies, no contact and a waste of $165.00 once again. Sick of paying for leads that are a waste of money and time?"
I emailed him to ask him to stop communication and I get this very childlike response which is far from professional:
"The email was meant to go the lead provider not you.
How dare you make accusations and make out I m not a good broker?
You don t know me and I m glad I didn t help you either?
Threatening me with an ombudsman?
Excuse me?
Maybe I wouldn t want you as my doctor, that s if you are one?
Be careful what you claim as someone behind a computer can always be so smug as to make threats and degrade someone?
What is that called, there right a bully or someone who doesn t care about the recipient?
Don t contact me again either!!!"

Trying to sell a car. The buyer went through ratecity which use verimoto to confirm the existence of the car and buyer? Wouldn't accept bank details unless on official statement. Hell to the no. Sold cars before with bank cheques without hassle. In the end the buyer got enough money and paid himself because it was easier than dealing with this mob

A very useful site which clearly displays all the rates and fees so I can make an informed decision on which loan to pick. Also has a repayment calculator so I could see the real cost. Highly recommend.

I'm not sure why rate city has a chat functionality on site when no one is there to assist? I had a question regarding refinancing my property and the only response I received was: can we start with your name and to provide my email.. When I'm already registered in their database.
