I recently came across a website that specializes in upcycling unique and interesting pieces of furniture. I must say, the creativity and craftsmanship displayed by this company are truly commendable. The website is easy to navigate, with clear and detailed descriptions of each item. The shipping process was smooth, and the product arrived in a well-packaged condition. However, I have to admit that the pricing is on the higher side. While I appreciate the effort and skill put into the pieces, I expected a somewhat more reasonable price range. Additionally, the customer service could be improved. I had a few queries regarding customization options, but the response took longer than expected. Overall, I would rate my experience with the company as average. The product itself is definitely unique and eye-catching, but the pricing and customer service could use some improvement.

Rail Yard Studios: Crafting Unique Furniture Pieces with Reclaimed Railroad Steel and Hardwood Timbers
Rail Yard Studios is a Nashville-based company that specializes in creating custom furniture pieces that are artisan designed and craftsman built. Their unique creations are perfect for both home and office settings, including urban lofts, mountain retreats, corporate offices, and private homes.
What sets Rail Yard Studios apart from other furniture makers is their use of reclaimed railroad steel and new hardwood timbers sourced from Nashville, Tennessee. This combination of materials creates a one-of-a-kind look that cannot be replicated by mass-produced furniture manufacturers.
The company was founded by Robert Hendrick in 2010 after he discovered the beauty of reclaimed railroad steel while working on a project for his own home. He realized the potential for this material to create stunning furniture pieces that were not only visually appealing but also environmentally sustainable.
Since then, Rail Yard Studios has grown into a team of skilled craftsmen who share Robert's passion for creating unique pieces with character and history. Each piece they create is made to order using traditional woodworking techniques combined with modern technology to ensure precision and quality.
Their portfolio includes an impressive range of designs such as dining tables, coffee tables, desks, bookcases, beds, benches, and more. They also offer customization options so clients can tailor their orders to fit their specific needs or preferences.
One notable aspect of Rail Yard Studios' work is their ability to incorporate the history of the materials they use into each piece. The reclaimed railroad steel often bears markings or patinas from its previous life on train tracks across America. These imperfections add character to each piece while also preserving a part of American history.
In addition to being visually stunning works of art in themselves, Rail Yard Studios' furniture pieces are also highly functional and durable. The combination of hardwood timbers with industrial-grade steel creates sturdy structures that can withstand daily wear-and-tear without sacrificing style or comfort.
Rail Yard Studios' commitment to sustainability extends beyond their use of reclaimed materials. They also prioritize eco-friendly practices in their workshop, such as using energy-efficient lighting and equipment, recycling waste materials, and sourcing local materials whenever possible.
Overall, Rail Yard Studios is a company that stands out for its dedication to creating unique furniture pieces with a story to tell. Their use of reclaimed railroad steel and hardwood timbers creates stunning designs that are both visually appealing and environmentally sustainable. If you're looking for custom furniture that's truly one-of-a-kind, Rail Yard Studios is the perfect choice.
