Prismatic Sensors AB aims to provide the next generation of sensors for medical x-ray imaging to lower radiation dose and improve selection of patients for successful individualized treatment. The company was founded in 2012 as a spin-off from KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden. It is located in Stockholm, Sweden in the Albanova building on the KTH campus. The company has a strong engineering background in electronics design in combination with precision mechanics and programming for data acquisition. They are experienced in system integration and the process for regulatory approval of products (e.g. CE and FDA) including building prototype systems for clinical trials. It also has a strong track record in transforming fundamental scientific research into innovations that are used in hospitals around the world, helping doctors make the right decisions, increasing chances of survival for their patients.
