As an independent contractor of a semi truck with them I have nothing but great to say about this company. Of course like any other places, they have their some occasions that frustrate employees and contractors but 99.99% of the time, I wake up happy and with a smile on my face to go to work.
If you go out to work like you mean it, you will never find another company that you can make as much money and being home everyday like here. But again, if tou are lazy, and want the easy money, this is not the place for you. They want hard working people, and if you are one, you will get rewarded.

Priority will bankrupt you. With fuel, truck repairs, insurance etc.... it will cost you over $40k/ yr just to go to work. You will earn $100k/yr but at the end of the day, it s maybe a $50k/ yr job with zero benefits. Dispatch forces you to work beyond your hours of service and has no respect for your log book. Management will turn on you in a second and not honor the contractor agreement they sign with you while you re forced to honor the full contract. No loyalty with these guys. Independent contractors are treated as employees with no employee benefits. You re forced to get up at 5am or earlier to work and of you re not, they will call you and shame you till you get out on the road. Good luck working with these guys. Not worth it.

Probably should let your drivers know that if they are out in full uniform and driving one of your trucks that they shouldn't be absolutely rude and disrespectful to people they meet in say gas stations. Not the kind of thing I would want put forward for my company.

Listen this is second hand information from someone I know that works there.
It's a stressful place to work with! You sign on as an independent contractor but treated like an unimportant employee. The place is run poorly, as far as upper management is concerned. Most of dispatchers are biased and unprofessional. Reading some of these reviews from people that say they work there and how great this place is, I have a few questions. Why is the driver retention so terrible? Why does some of the reviews that are 5 star rated they say nothing? Does it have anything to do with trying to get the rating up? I wouldn't work there especially as a contractor from what one heard from several former contractors and employees.

I used to work for a courier service for a while. We had a lot of people that ended up working for us that used to work here. Most made less than minimum wage once you factor in the costs of insurance, truck payments, and everything else. They make you buy a truck to use. Then once you end up paying it off the truck mileage is too high so you end up needing to get a new one. My partners ex-coworker went to work for Priority. He LOST $5,000 working for them. This company is a terrible place to work. Get a job at McDonald's if you need a job. You'll make a lot more.

My company used Priority for well over 5 years, and did tens of thousands, possibly in the hundreds of thousands worth of business with them in that time frame.

Due to a lot of circumstances, I was not able to make a payment on time. instead of helping me and working out a payment plan, or extending my due date. Priority instead files suit over such a trivial amount that it would probably be laughed out of court.

Priority does not care about their drivers, or their customers. The people at the top are greedy, and egotistical. I am in a better shape financially, and have told every company I do business with my story about Priority. Many have switched to another carrier, myself included.

Priority is not the only game in town for courier service!

On 7/23/21 a driver in a Priority Courier white Toyota (camry?) with identification number 303 was driving very recklessly on Hwy 7 eastbound and 494 S around 5:00pm. This driver was going well over 20 miles the speed limit and then would slow down and was obviously distracted, looking at their phone and then would speed up again and tailgate other drivers.
I will not hire a company that puts dangerous drivers on the road. Please give your employees better training so that they don't cause an accident.

Priority...? More like predatory! I was an independent contractor with them for about a month. It was the biggest waste of my time ever.

They put me in a lease with a vehicle that has 105,000 miles on it already. I was responsible for ALL maintenance, repairs, and gas. The lease was about $260 per week, and paid off in 18 months. I was putting on an average of 1200 miles per week.

By the time I would pay it off, there would be over 300,000 miles on it. After all these expenses factored in. I was lucky to make $7 per hour.

Paying their IC s is no priority of theirs. No pun intended. I make more doing door dash. And with a fraction of the overhead. I highly recommend running as fast as possible away from working for these clowns.

Driver #685 in a big van cut me off very abruptly without a signal, almost caused an accident really scared my wife, this was on may 5th 2021 35W South bound between 5-6pm. This driver was driving very dangerously. If that's how the drivers here drive, I'm never going to use this service ever again for my business. I can't believe how careless this driver was...
