Pricious is an online platform that combines video advertising distribution with an e-commerce portal. The platform’s two components complement themselves since the advertising visualization gradually contributes to the products’ discounts. A user selects a product that he or she is interested in and assists a video commercial until the end. At the end of the video the product price will decrease. Then the user has two options: first, if he or she is already satisfied with the product price he or she can buy it; or, if he or she still can’t afford that product, repeat the process and consume more advertisements until the product price decreases even more. Pricious was launched by Ricardo Leal, Carlos Mendes, Luís Nascimento, and Rúben Pereira in 2014 and is operated from Lisbon, Portugal.
