The owners are so caring and helpful, and the prices very affordable.

About a year ago I came to Precious Possessions for my very first crystal shop experience. The energy is very positive and I absolutely loved seeing all the beautiful little birds peacefully flying about. I was told they come in daily as the shop opens.

Eveything is very organized, clear and easy to read the prices and the staff is very helpful. I appreciated the staff listening to the combination of stones I needed and I love all of their suggestions. They even gifted me 3 stones and a sweet hug!

Crystals were average with an outrageous price. All the prices were at least 3X more expensive than any other rock store I've been to (even in Chicago.)
Didn't buy anything because it just felt wrong to pay over $100 for a small piece of AMETHYST.
Minus the prices, there were a couple unique stones I've never seen before that were beautiful.

Awesome place, this is the only place I get my crystals from and the people there are amazing. I'm a student so it's hard for me to find places to find crystals that aren't that expensive and this place is amazing to go to.

I love this place. Helen creates such a warm and welcoming environment I always look forward to seeing her and to explore what's new in the shop. Awesome selection and high quality stones. I used to come in frequently when I lived in Chicago, but now that I live in another state it's hard to find a stone store that I love just as much. Precious Possessions is one of the first stops I make when visiting the city. 5/5 would recommend!!

This is a fabulous rock and precious gem store on the very busy Michigan Avenue in downtown Chicago. It is a beautiful store with so many wonderful things to gaze at and to peruse. The atmosphere, itself, is very healing and inviting and it is so hard to go past this store without being enticed in. Helen is the owner and manager, and she is a beautiful soul who will engage with the customers and is open to viewing new artist's work. I found this little gem about seven years ago and then I left the state to work abroad, and, for some reason, I was brought back here when I went to see a dentist which is right next door. I am so happy for the non-coincidental connection. I highly recommend this store if you are an artist who is in need of high quality and well-priced materials or if you are just buying that special gift for someone. Precious Possessions is definitely the highlight of Michigan Avenue.

I came across them while walking in the Millenium Park area and then bought several pairs of their semi-precious earrings about 2 years ago. Two of them look like this in the picture. Then I lost one pair and one butterfly earring. The website doesn't have any of the earrings I purchased. I wish they were in Los Angeles. They are so unique that I get tons of compliments.

The selection and service of this store is incredible! If you re looking for crystals, gems, precious stones and more. THIS is where you HAVE to go!!! I m thrilled.

It's a great place. Great prices for the product. You can find a whole array of stuff like tumbled crystals, crystal trays, fossils, pendants and more.

Had birds on the inside. Like 15-20 of em. I'm I thought it was unsanitary.

Walked into the store about 2 years ago, and immediately felt the amazing atmosphere, and positive energy. Helena is kind, personable and very pleasant. I asked her to choose a ring for me. The fit was perfect and the compliments pouring.. I am looking forward to going back

Gorgeous energy flows through this shop. The person who helped me was so kind, informative, and generous. I wish I could remember her name (this was over a year ago). Pretty sure she was one of the owners. She gifted me a crystal after I lost mine shortly after I purchased it from this shop. I will be back to purchase more due to the kindness and love that I was shown here.

The owner is very polite and gracious! I purchased a beautiful treasure jar. Her selection is both of quality and quantity! Very pleased and I will visit again when I'm back in town.

Incredible stones only rivaled by incredible staff! Explanations and labels of each stone are displayed and easy to browse. Definitely a fun store even if you're new to the concept of healing stones.

Awesome store, awesome stones. But Helen is the real gem here. She is incredibly knowledgeable, kind and attentive. I've never felt more welcome and at home in a rock shop.

Old school excellence. There is simply no place like this in Chicago. You know something is different here when you see the flocks of sparrows flying in and out of the store. The strong, happy energy of the place guides you inside as if you were coming home. You let the healing power of the stones just kind of wash over you. A piece draws you in, then a momentary pause when you see the price. The owner tells you the piece is on sale and that pause goes away. You connect with one of the owners as if you'd known each other all your lives. You walk out smiling, thinking "This place, this positive energy, this is what we need more of in the world." So you come back.

Helen at Precious Possessions on Michigan is the greatest person. She is graceful and thoughtful and kind. She knows her rocks in science and in metaphysics. She offers so much delight to the moment of purchase (precious possessions). I spent $50 here and it was the best $50 I ve spent all year. Support local business and shop here. This store is delightfully authentic and wholesome. Great place for a gift. Great place to treat yourself.

I go there for crystals. They have a variety large, medium and small dino bone, scents,etc. Very wholistic.

Had passed the shop several times but hadn't had a chance to go in. So glad I finally found the time. I never write reviews but this was the most lovely shop run by such lovely people. They have a great range of items and were so helpful while I picked out Mother's day presents. Will definitely be visiting again.

Every time I go in, I feel at peace and energized. I come away with so much more knowledge and respect as well as new additions to my home and family; it's hard for me to walk away after I'm done. I will keep making this my go-to spot every chance I get.

The staff here were the friendliest anywhere and the shop is very sweet, with a huge selection of specimens and jewelry. When we had questions they were knowledgeable and willing to help. I left with a few little things and plans to go back! Great little store right in the loop.

Really great place, when you think of dt you think of overpriced things but this place is the total oposite. Its a great place with lots of things, really good prices and deals. The owner is the best she helps you with all the things you need, does her very best she can during these times of covid, and she really knows her stuff. This shop is very much reliable I will most definitely be coming back as well as recommending my friends here.

The 2 people (im guessing the owners) that helped me today were amazing. They were so kind, friendly, and knowledgeable. Which was pretty refreshing after being in the city for a few hours... I managed to spend an hour in the shop without even realizing it! I left with some beautiful stones and im so happy with my experience. I will be going back the next time I go into the city

Lovely shop and convenient location in the loop. Everything is locked in cases, which comes with the territory of being in a busy tourist area I suppose. It's hard to see the prices on things until you get them out. The more interesting crystals are in the back of the shop, past the jewelry, and organized by type. Sale price for a small point was reasonable. There was a buy 1 get 2 free special on loose stones which made the price on them $18 for 3, so very good. The woman running the shop that I chatted with was very warm and welcoming, even though they were closing up, and gave me another stone for free. I'll definitely be back.

These people are the very few that care about the customer. They are know their stones like the back of their hand. They are more than welcoming. Qualities such as these are really hard to come by these days. Their selection is amazing..... if I didn't know any better I swear they have almost every stone in existence.

Staff/Owner service goes above and beyond. Pricing was flexible and more than fair. I found some one of a kind pieces here and will definitely be returning.

I've never been disappointed with anything that I've ever brought there. The owner is very knowledgeable and can help with anything that you want to know. I give this store a 6 star rating on a 5 point scale!!!

This store is a great little gem. My wife and I took the time to look at minerals and it was wonderful. They also have a selection of jerwly and fossles. They work with local jewlers to make costom pieces. If I had anything negative to say, it's that they really push the spiritual side of minerals. That said they were happy helpful and knowegdable.

We are French and we've been personally very well received. I was very happy and enjoyed with a nice feeling for this bracelet. I could customize it. I was impressed by their great professionality. In the store, all the products are in promotions, and when it came time to pay, we have had another promotion. When it's time to go, we have received the stone aventurine because we travel frequently.
I strongly recommend this store.

Visiting from out of town and decided to take a look. I am a collector and have purchased stones at every level of the trade from mine to retail. This shop is selling stones at criminally high prices even for a retail location. I cannot fathom the justification for this kind of gouging. I would not buy a thing and left after a few minutes of looking around. There were stones in there priced at $16+ that I can get for a few dollars at other retail locations. There were stone chip necklaces priced at $100+ that are usually a fraction of that price retail. It s obscene.

I ran into this store on a lunch break after dealing with a loss a family member and a breakup on the same week. Helen greeted me with exactly what I needed to hear "I'm here for you!" We sat on the floor and discussed Rose Quartz options while she was meditating with some as I came in. There is nothing I can even say to make this seem more like fate walking in at this time. She gave me a such an amazing experience that the purchase was much more sentimental given the situation. Thank you so much Helen for having your shop available.

Loved it. The shop owner is an amazing lady and she told us a little anecdote about how she rescued a bird now she has small birds fly in and out of her shop. They are harmless and the shop is very clean.

Although, with their fantastic selection of raw crystals, gorgeous one of a kind artisan and antique jewelry, it's nearly impossible to not find the perfect piece for either yourself or as a gift.

You will find some of the most beautiful pieces, I have personally purchase more than eight items from the store. Stores owner has the most beautiful spirit she's extremely knowledgeable and just up here pleasure to be in her presence as well as her store. Stop in and Shop you won't be disappointed!
