What began as a pair of blenders, a patio table, and a fridge has flourished into over 97 stores, thousands of employees, and a mission to lead communities in healthy, sustainable living.
Playa Bowls: A Healthy and Sustainable Living Community
Playa Bowls is a company that started with humble beginnings but has now grown into a successful business with over 97 stores across the United States. The company's mission is to lead communities in healthy, sustainable living by providing delicious and nutritious food options.
The story of Playa Bowls began when two friends, Robert Giuliani and Abby Taylor, decided to blend their love for surfing and healthy eating. They started experimenting with different fruit blends using blenders on a patio table in Belmar, New Jersey. Their creations quickly became popular among their friends and family, leading them to open their first store in 2014.
Since then, Playa Bowls has expanded rapidly across the country while maintaining its commitment to using fresh ingredients sourced from local farmers whenever possible. The company offers a variety of bowls made from superfoods like acai berries, pitaya (dragon fruit), kale, spinach, chia seeds, coconut milk and more.
One of the unique aspects of Playa Bowls is its focus on sustainability. The company uses compostable bowls made from plant-based materials instead of plastic containers that harm the environment. They also encourage customers to bring their own reusable cups or purchase one at the store for future use.
In addition to promoting healthy eating habits and environmental sustainability practices through its products and packaging choices; Playa Bowls also supports local communities by partnering with non-profit organizations such as Surfrider Foundation which works towards protecting oceans & beaches around the world.
The menu at Playa Bowls includes various types of bowls such as Classic Acai Bowl (made with organic Sambazon Acai), Pitaya Bowl (made with organic Pitaya Plus), Green Bowl (made with kale & spinach) etc., all topped off with fresh fruits like strawberries or bananas along other toppings like granola or honeycomb pieces which add crunchiness & sweetness respectively.
Apart from these signature bowls; they also offer smoothies made from fresh fruits & vegetables alongwith juices that are cold-pressed daily ensuring maximum nutrition retention without any added preservatives or artificial flavors/colors making it an ideal choice for health-conscious individuals who want quick yet nutritious meals on-the-go!
Overall; if you're looking for delicious food options that are both healthy AND sustainable - look no further than Playa Bowls! With over 97 locations nationwide offering an array of tasty treats ranging from classic favorites like Acai bowl to innovative new creations - there's something here for everyone!
