My family visited Platypus House in Beauty Point last year before we relocated to the mainland, and it was a fantastic experience. The forty-minute tour felt perfectly paced; anything longer might have been too much for a child to handle. My daughter absolutely loved the echidna room, especially getting to touch them as they wandered around the exhibit. She found the platypuses adorable but definitely preferred the echidnas. Watching them being fed was a highlight. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and engaging, and the rest of the staff were wonderful, especially with kids. At $20 for adults and $9 for children, the pricing was very fair for the quality of the experience.
