Petco Love (formerly The Petco Foundation) is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to saving the lives of pets. The foundation was established in 1999 by Petco, one of the leading pet retailers in the United States. Since its inception, Petco Love has been committed to creating a world where every animal has a chance at life and love.
The mission of Petco Love is to inspire and empower animal lovers to save pet lives. The foundation achieves this by partnering with animal welfare organizations across the country and providing them with funding, resources, and support. Through these partnerships, Petco Love helps to increase pet adoptions, reduce euthanasia rates, and improve the quality of life for pets in need.
One of the key initiatives of Petco Love is its adoption program. The foundation works closely with more than 4,000 animal welfare organizations nationwide to help find loving homes for pets in need. Through its adoption events and online resources, Petco Love makes it easy for people to find their perfect furry companion.
In addition to its adoption program, Petco Love also provides funding for spay/neuter programs and medical care for pets in need. These programs help prevent overpopulation and ensure that all animals have access to necessary medical treatment.
Another important aspect of Petco Love's work is its disaster relief efforts. When natural disasters strike, many pets are left homeless or separated from their families. In these situations, Petco Love partners with local organizations to provide emergency sheltering and supplies for affected animals.
Petco Love also recognizes the importance of education when it comes to responsible pet ownership. Through its online resources and community outreach programs, the foundation provides information on topics such as training tips, nutrition advice, and preventative care.
