Nice resort right on the slopes has its own lift (not open in the summer but you can still buy lift tickets for one of the other lifts on the mountain here). Great for kids. The have a mountain coaster, mining sluice, ropes course and mini golf and two pools (one indoor/one outdoor). The service was good, suites have kitchens and ample space for the whole family to spread out but the appliances were a little rough , I give them credit for addressing the issues quickly at least. Would definitely come back. Maybe next time during ski season though. Cheers and enjoy.
I ve grown up skiing at Okemo and love it. It s a wonderful mountain staff are always amazing. However. Since. Sing purchased by Vail things have changed, and not for the better. Their seems to have been a big change up in the staff. Prices skyrocketed which makes it just not worth the money anymore.
We had an amazing time riding the Alpine coaster and the ski lift (they are at separate locations though, which we didn't know at the time of booking the tickets). All the staff, at both locations, were so kind and friendly! I don't ski, but would actually love to come back for a visit in the winter!
I'm a photographer and love the views and photo opportunities (especially in the fall) that this mountain has to offer. My kiddos also love to ski and mountain bike here. Great family friendly place.
We have had an absolutely wonderful visit to Okemo. We have had a lovely 1 bedroom unit in the Jackson Gore main building. It is clean and comfortable.
We started the morning wandering around a bit before the mountain coaster opened. Katie greeted us and answered questions. Jack at the Mountain coaster was so knowledgeable and helpful. Kyle scanning our tickets was so lovely to talk with. The ladies helping load us in the cars were super friendly as well. We loved the coaster so much that after we did our 3 ride, we bought 3 more. Such a fun activity for the whole family. We took the kids over to the Adventure Challenge Course. It is a very nice ropes course. Extremely well run by Liz and crew, I felt the kids were safe. They required guests to start at level 1and work up to level 3. This is a very wise idea, as participants get a feel for the course and get comfortable, with the degree of difficulty and the length of the zip line at the end of the course increasing at each level. We needed help from Chris and Marissa on two separate occasions. They were kind, calm, and empowered our kids to get back up on the course and keep going after their falls. Thanks to all of the safety in place, they were in no danger of actually being hurt when they fell.
We then went over to the scenic chair lift. It was a beautiful, clear day and the views were stunning! We ate lunch at the Cafe at the summit. It was a bit expensive, but it was tasty. The ride down provided some gorgeous views and the stream was so calming and peaceful.
We ended our day getting ski gear for the kids. The sale prices could not be beat! The ladies were very helpful finding the right sizes and working with the kids, who were all sugared up after having maple Creemies.
During a time when many businesses are short staffed, and good service is hard to come by, we were so impressed with Okemo. All we met were kind, friendly, and seemed genuinely happy to talk. They provided great service and have made Okemo a place we will most likely visit again despite how far away it is from our home in North Carolina.
In the summer this place looks completely different but you can still find plenty to do on the mountain. They offer a scenic ride, lots of bike and hiking trails, they also have mini golf, disc golf and a small roller coaster type of ride. I really enjoyed the scenic ride and the roller coaster a lot but it was quite expensive.
My favorite mountain in Vermont. Great variety of trails for beginners and more advanced skiers and riders. They do have bottle neck and lines on the lifts by the main lodge but once you get to the top it s great. Lift personnel at South face express quad is awesome. I like their selection of music. Guys you are rocking! Managers these guys need a pay raise!
