I built a glidebait and swimbait rod using this blank for lures up to 2.5 oz, and the result is fantastic. It even handles heavier weights like the 3.1/8 oz Arashi Glide with ease. The rod provides plenty of power for long-distance hook sets, and its moderate action keeps fish securely hooked on trebles. Great quality blank from North Fork Composites.

I’ve crafted numerous blanks for local anglers on The Ohio River, and these from North Fork Composites in Woodland, WA, are incredibly durable and surprisingly lightweight. They truly shine when paired with the NFCG011C01 grips. The local fishing community loves rods that can withstand rough conditions while delivering performance comparable to top-tier mass-produced options. Hand-sanding the blank softens the action slightly and results in a gorgeous finish.

North Fork Composites in Woodland crafted an incredibly lightweight rod that still packs plenty of backbone. It pairs perfectly with a Shimano Vanford 3000. It was such a great experience that my wife loved it so much I decided to build another one for her. I even customized it with unique colored grips made from poly foam and carbon weave.

I recently picked up this blank from North Fork Composites in Woodland, WA, and it’s been fantastic for shallow running and lipless crankbaits. The action is beautifully moderate, and while the blank feels a bit lightweight, it has an incredibly strong backbone that holds up well. It’s the perfect choice if you crank over grass or use blade baits. I’m so satisfied with the performance that I’m already planning to buy another one to keep in my tackle box!

North Fork Composites has nailed the perfect medium-heavy blank. This is an excellent choice for crafting deeper running crankbaits (8+ feet), spinnerbaits, chatterbaits, and topwaters. It offers impressive backbone while maintaining a surprisingly flexible tip that feels distinct from traditional glass blanks. Incredibly versatile, this rod blank handles almost any application with ease. If you need a reliable, do-it-all medium-heavy blank, I highly recommend checking out this product from their lineup.

North Fork Composites offers a solid utility spinning rod that serves its purpose well. While the blank feels slightly heavier than anticipated, it handles 1/8 oz worms and small jerkbaits with ease. It might be a bit much for 1/16 oz lures, but for general use, it’s a reliable choice.

I picked up this rod from North Fork Composites, and the NFC soft-touch handle really stands out. While the specs say one thing, it feels more like a moderate fast action to me, though I guess that’s subjective. It actually flexes deeper into the blank than I anticipated. I bought it mainly for jigs and plastics, but it turns out to be a fantastic choice for spinnerbaits, chatterbaits, and hollow body swimbaits. The flexibility makes roll casting a breeze. Honestly, it’s hard to beat the Deltas, especially when they are on sale.

I’ve been building rods with NFC blanks for years—over 25 of them—and while I’m always happy with their quality, this hybrid stick is a standout. I picked it up without high expectations, assuming the glass-graphite blend would be heavy, sluggish, and dull. I trusted Gary from North Fork Composites to deliver, but the result blew me away. The balance is perfect, and despite the glass content, it’s surprisingly sensitive and featherlight. It casts with a smooth, controlled rhythm that makes every lure placement feel effortless. If you’re thinking about it, just grab one. It’s a fantastic addition to my gear.

North Fork Composites delivers a top-tier rod blank that handles both inshore saltwater and heavy freshwater fishing with ease. A solid choice for anglers in Woodland, WA.
