No kill shelter for dogs and cats. Animals are well kept. Great source for pet adoption!

My experience in the beginning was positive, but later when I needed to get a hold of them because I thought the dog was sick it took them a week to get back to me..she was in fact sick and required antibiotics..they rip dogs away from good families and always have excuses that doesn't make any sense why they did in the first place..they just decide to have a family adopt and then later come up with reasons why they shouldn't have them...sure hope this hasn't or doesn't happen to anyone else..we are still trying to get the dog out family deserves..after all if they thought we weren't adoption material we would have never received one in the first place. Hope they were just having a bad
couple weeks.

What they do for the animals is phenomenal and Heartwarming

They are clean and friendly place, to adopt pets. And they are a no kill shelter!

This is a very nice, clean facility, with staff who are always willing to assist you with viewing the animals.

The staff and volunteers love what they do and want the animals to go to loving homes. They are very fussy about who gets the animals. Very clean and run by people who enjoy what they do. Highly recommend!

Moving into an apartment I had to give my Vizsla up for adoption. He is such a smart, energetic and loving pet I wanted to be sure he found a good home. The people here gave me assurances they would find him a great new family. Within 2 weeks I received a phone call from a man who introduced himself as the head of my Vizsla s new family. He told me about their neighborhood, the size of their yard and nearby dog beach. He asked about diet and commands the dog responded to and told me they had a teenage son involved in a 4H program on animal care and was very excited to have his new Vizsla best friend. I m so thankful to know my baby has a new home and loving family. A boy needs a dog and a dog needs a boy.

They were so kind and understanding when my wife and I had to sadly and unexpectedly surrender our dog of 3.5 years. I trust they'll find him a good home and appreciate their thoughtfulness during what was an extremely difficult time for my family.

My dog was hit by a car and I didn't have the money to help her, Noah project was there to help me when nobody else was. They're closed as of now but I'll be sure to edit my review when we figure more out. Thank you Noah project

Staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. It's very clean and all the animals well taken care of. Plus the fact that it's a no kill shelter makes it that much better.

Very clean inside and out. I was expecting an unpleasant odor when I walked in (the typical urine/feces smells), but was pleasantly surprised by the freshness.

I went here one time to try to adopt a senior Dachshund I had seen online, but when I got there, someone had already placed in an application for her. I asked if I could see her anyways, and they brought her out and let me hold her. Staff was very helpful and friendly.

After adopting a cat, when i saw management changed, I have had troubles contacting them. I waited three weeks for a call to pick up the vet records after I paid for him and found them in my mail. I've had no responce as to whether or not the microchip is even registered.

Very nice staff. Went there to donate toys and dishes. Asked if I wanted to meet the animals but I chose not to. I would have left with some and I have 3 dogs and 1 cat already.

From beginning to end, my adoption experience with the Noah Project was fantastic! I adopted Peek a Boo (now Vito) last week, and he has been great. So far, he has met over 30 dogs at the dog park, and he has been great with all of them. He has met children and adults of all ages, and everyone comments on how well behaved he is! The staff at the Noah Project are remarkable. Thank you for giving me a new best friend!

A good place to adopt an animal. They are very well taken care of and and really love the animals. Noah's project is also very clean.

I recently saw someone have a bad experience with a dog they rescued from The Noah Project. I feel like it could have been prevented if The Noah Project would have done more tests with the dog to ensure it doesn't attack anyone.

This is a modern facility the animals are well taken care of. Need a new furry family member, here is a go to place!

Staff was extremely busy and the wait was worth it. Great facility, friendly employees and volunteers, as busy as it was the place was clean. I viewed all animals and the employee knew all about each one, she told their story. I came to get a new 4 leg family member and I will get her from Noah.

NOAA act's like you are more of an annoyance to their job and don't want to adopt out pets. It seems like they are more interested in just keeping the job and the animals. I don't know what the deal is with them, but I have heard others say similar things. I expect them to make sure the animals go to a good home where they will be loved and well taken care of, but it seems they just don't want to let go of these animals and this is not good for the dogs that are housed in tight quarters, in cages, with loud barking from other dogs. It's a stressful, mentally unhealthy environment to be in for so long IMHO.

Because I volunteer here with the cats and love them all.

True no-kill shelter/variety of dogs & cats.Shelter is clean & animals are treated very well by a truly careing staff.I was very impressed!! So much so that I came home with a Lab that turned out to be a much better dog than I could have hoped for.

We are so happy with our new big puppy who is a transplant from the Harvey operation. I just wanted to say the staff/volunteers during that period were awesome and made us so grateful for their service, knowledge and helpfulness. Thank you.

Highly recommend Noah Project. My daughter lives near the facility and has visited as well as her boyfriend adopted a fantastic cat from them. When she sent us a picture and information about Jedd we drove from Alpena to foster him and get him ready for his surgery. We drove back with him and they took him for his surgery and back to the shelter where we could formally adopt him. They're wonderful at rescuing animals and getting them ready for adoption. They look for the best matches and follow up. The vet here in Alpena was very impressed with the wonderful service that Noah provided to give this sick little dog a 2nd chance. We are very grateful for everyone involved with Jedd's care He is a very happy dog in his Furever home I would definitely recommend Noah Project to anyone around the state looking for a rescue pet.

Helped with every phase of finding and adopting the right dog for the 3 of us. Recommended a great vet who gave us our first appt free and made sure we had all the records and info we needed to be successful with our dog, Tucker.

It looked like a very well run animal shelter. They didn't have a lot of dogs available when I was in because they'd all been getting adopted!

Love! Great place, give a special pet a much needed forever home. They deserve the love too.

We recently had to surrender our beloved Peanut. This was not a very easy decision for our family however Noah Project made the transition smooth and we reassured they would take care of her and make sure she was going to be loved and cared for. We are forever grateful for you all at Noah Project.

Great place, clean,and caring personal. U know I could get a healthy animal from them. They do have vet care and grooming care for their animals

Not very impressed with them. My mother got a dog from them 10+ years ago and he was wonderful and there survice was great back then. He passed from old age about 4 years ago, due to him being an older dog when she adopted him. She went back this year to adopt another older dog to give it a good life, but they treated her rude and acted like she had no idea on how to pick out her own dog.... they asked her want she wanted in a dog and choose ones to show her. When she asked to see one she wanted to actually see, they told her to come back the next day and said she had a person before her who wanted to see him. The next day we called and they said she can walk him, but the manager found another person who would be good for him and that the original person in front of him did not call back. They are a little rude when it comes to actually finding a fur baby that's chicks with the person looking and acts like they know better then you do about what you need. I know my mother will not go back to them in thefuture, and neither will my family. So sad to becuase we supported them when they were smaller and before all the remodeling donated so much and used to love how sweet they were.

Great organization run by very friendly staff and volunteers. They try to find the BEST homes for the animals no matter what. I've adopted 2 pets from them and both times have been positive experiences and very reasonable adoption fees. I definitely recommend them!

I called and left a message 2 weeks ago for help with 4 abandoned strays, with no return call. I then emailed them from their website a week ago , again with no response.

When we inquired about Opie nearly 3 years ago, we were told he was returned twice. They told us that he needed an enclosed yard for running space. They assumed we would return him and started giving drop off instructions. I assured them that I wouldn't bring him back. But I don't believe they were convinced.

The first day we brought him home, his protector instincts kicked in and he was praised for that. There was a little anxiety at first so we made more trips out back as well as walks around the neighborhood. After about a week he settled down and accepted his new pack family.

He already knew the basic obedience commands but was adamant about pulling on lead. I knew how to remedy that minor flaw as the walk continues when he's not pulling. It didn't happen overnight but he no longer pulls on lead.

It will be 3 years this coming Valentine's day since we brought him home. Noah Project were RIGHT ON about the running space and as long as he can be "crazy running" in the yard, he's a happy boy!

He loves to be told he's a "good boy" and he loves playing fetch! Keep away used to be his favorite game but now he returns and drops his ball/stick, for me to throw again and again!

After I earned his trust initially, he has shown a very sweet side of his character that is priceless! I love this sweet boy and oh, I almost forgot... Merlin (cat) loves him too! They're best buds!

Noah Project knows how to fit the right animals for the right pack. You guys know what you're talking about so, PEOPLE listen to them!

No judgment is met when surrendering your animal, instead you are met with kindness, compassion and understanding. The staff is so kind and keep you up to date on your pet while they are there and when they find their new furever home!!! Very clean facility with loving staff who care for the animals as if they were their own. You can never go wrong when surrendering to or adopting from Noah Project!

Called to inquiry if they had any room. Which they didnt and I totally understand that. The lady on the phone was rude and when I asked if she knew of anywhere else I could try she cut me off snapping at me repeating they were full. Waste of a phone call...

This is a NO KILL shelter and they truly care for these animals im a loving way!!!

Seemed to be a nice place from what I saw. Caring and compassionate people there.

I Love Noah Project! My two best friends came from there. Hopefully more in the future as we grow our family!
