Great school teachers have the opportunity to get to know their students so they can provide the needed support appropriate to the student. They have a great robotics team as part of the STEM program. Campus is beautiful and a great size to prep the students for college. Have had positive experience with the school as a whole.
From an academic perspective, Nichols school is top tier. From virtually every other perspective, Nichols School is simply lagging behind. Its teachers chew tobacco in class, its hockey team is corrupt to the point of no return, and its student body is very homogenous and somewhat racist. Lastly, not only does Nichols have a drinking problem as stated below, Nichols' reputation among other students is defined by the large number of Nichols students who smoke illegal drugs.
It is an awesome school although the Pop Tarts they serve at break are overpriced and stale. The same goes with the Spicy Dill Pickle chips.

Nichols is simply amazing. Unrivaled academics, sports, and arts. Middle school arts director Andrew Sutherland is also a pleasure to work with. Incredible.
Nichols School prepares students so well for college that graduates will likely find their primary college classes to be easy by comparison. The middle and high schools were recently combined on a single campus; this could be a concern to parents seeking to insulate their younger children from the influence of older teenagers at school.
