We are from Virginia, and had a chanve to attend a session of Science Live with my 7 year old daughter. The 1-hour program and the presenter delivered an amazing and extremely educational experience. You envy people living at the area.
Visited many times and always enjoyed the shows and exhibits. Being on the beautiful UNC campus and in downtown Chapel Hill are added benefits.

My family enjoyed the Carolina Skies show. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the gift shop has a small but nice variety of things.

Morehead Planetarium is good in both the Carolinas . My Kid liked this place. Carolina Skies is the best show.
A great admission for students in elementary school
We saw the Carolina Skies show, which isn't a movie, but a live, narrated tour of the sky visible that night plus a tour of our galaxy and beyond. The theater was freezing cold, which felt nice at first, but bring a sweater
