Mission Waco: A Company Dedicated to Making a Difference
Mission Waco is a non-profit organization that has been serving the community of Waco, Texas for over 25 years. Founded in 1992 by Jimmy and Janet Dorrell, Mission Waco has been dedicated to empowering the poor and marginalized through various programs and initiatives.
The organization's mission is to provide holistic solutions to poverty, homelessness, and social injustice. They believe that every person deserves dignity, respect, and an opportunity to thrive regardless of their background or circumstances.
One of Mission Waco's main programs is their Urban Missions program which provides housing assistance for low-income families. The program offers affordable rental units as well as home repair services for those in need. Through this program, Mission Waco has helped hundreds of families achieve stable housing and improve their quality of life.
Another important initiative by Mission Waco is their Jubilee Food Market which provides fresh produce at affordable prices in an area where access to healthy food options is limited. The market also offers cooking classes and nutrition education programs aimed at promoting healthy eating habits among low-income families.
In addition to these programs, Mission Waco also runs several other initiatives such as job training programs for ex-offenders, after-school tutoring services for children from low-income families, and a community garden project aimed at promoting sustainable living practices.
What sets Mission Waco apart from other non-profit organizations is its commitment to building relationships with the people it serves. The organization believes that true transformation can only happen when people are empowered through meaningful relationships with others who care about them.
Mission Waco's success can be attributed not only to its innovative approach but also its dedicated team of staff members and volunteers who work tirelessly towards achieving the organization's goals. Their passion for making a difference in the lives of others has earned them recognition both locally and nationally.
