Awesome community, friendly professors, and more than enough snow!
Awesome community, friendly professors, and more than enough snow!
Initial impressions are good. Calm and relaxed atmosphere with all facilities for studying. Also, there are a bunch of on-campus events to explore one's interests apart from academics. Friendly community.

I am alumni from 2014, and I would like to say the school views undergrads as ATMs.
Very quiet place to study and resesrch. But winter is tough if a person does not like snow and cold weather.
A proud alumni, school where you turn your dreams to reality.
Turns out this place is a university. Thought was a divebar. Very misleading name. Three thumbs down from me.
Wonderful campus with views of the water and the bluff.
I work here, so I've gotta give it five stars, folks. This is a school known for its excellent PhD in Rhetoric, Theory and Culture. I've also heard that it's a place where some people learn about engineering and other various and sundry subjects.
I am a graduate student at Michigan Tech. Hence entitled to write a trustable review.
Pros: value for money, expenses are very less, Strong Indian community, good courses in automotive especially in controls, excellent scenic beauty, supportive staff.
Cons: less diverse student community, lack o...
Great school, very safe and enjoyable environment, the library is a great place to study, not alot of girls about but they are all smart and hardworking. Would recommend
Gift shop has a lot of inventory and moved you through well for being move in weekend.
University: Great school. Amazing management and very friendly people. If you have it in you then getting a professor to fund you is not very hard. Lots of on-campus part time job opportunities.
Location: Though the scenic beauty is amazing and being a college town really has its perks when it come...
A good University for mechanical engineering for design, manufacturing, IC engines, combustion, thermal, hybrid electric vehicle, etc. I specifically loved the location of the University, it's a beautiful city. For person who like to hang out more, it doesn't have much of things as u will expect from...
Good school bad food. Like actually the worst food ever jesus. Eating here is so painful.
The most amazing school that I could have ever asked for!
A community that always stands up for peace, and then turns around to kick ass in hockey + football!
My classmates are incredibly passionate about their school work. As a junior, most classmates I've spoken to have already been employed in ...
Definitely the best thing that ever happened to me in my life is coming to Michigan Tech.
Why is this so call Great College not paying Professors a decent wage? ? ? I think speaking English fluently and clearly understandable isn't to much to ask in a professor for what we are paying to send our kids to college. Son #1 was on the Deans list at Tech his only gripe was some of the Pro...
I really believe that Michigan Tech is an exceptional school. I am a high school counselor and I visited there as part of one of their counselor visit programs. They have a lot of excellent programs and a student well leave there well prepared for a career. One of the drawbacks is that it s very far...
one of best uprising Research University in USA and best in north Michigan
Class of 2019. Faculty and most staff are good, really care about students. Top level staff and admin seem not to care.
A first rate school that believes in innovation and challenging the status quo in research. I was a graduate student over there a long while back. I went there with very little idea about what graduate school entailed, but I was pleasantly surprised by how much fun they made learning, for me. The fo...
Its being a month at this University and pretty much happy to be here!!
The Professors are good and graduate studies is giving me sleepless nights already.
But that's what engineer's love I guess...lol
Definitely Thumbs up for Michigan Tech for being affordable and carrying a great reputation in ...
Amazing surrounding environment, great learning experience with rigerous course work, a degree from here is worth a lot. Buildings are mostly modern and up to date, learning centers everywhere to help you, great study areas and quite the view
Great little campus. Hope this 4 years pays off for my kiddo.
I had 4 different teachers for my calc 2 class. We called it rotate-a-prof. Thanks for the 5 credit ripoff. Most freshmen instructors were uninspiring, to put it mildly. Hopefully there's better security to protect women.
I got an admission at MTU and I must say I'm pretty impressed by what I've heard so far. I hope my years at MTU would be indeed fruitful.
As someone who attended this school and transferred out (more than a quarter of students do) I have a critical viewpoint. Professors were good, class sizes were acceptably small for the freshmen and sophomore classes I was taking although they were easy and boring. The school's admissions office is ...
As someone who attended this school and now recruits civil engineers, Michigan Tech does an awesome job of getting students ready for the workforce.
If you like the outdoors, then this is the place to go if you can handle it.
This University is located in a very small town (literally out of no where) in the Upper Peninsula (Hello yoopers) but indeed has the best community (friendliest people) I have ever met in USA
Lots of great memories, friends, research, and mentors. 5/5, would choose them for undergraduate again.
Beautiful area, small town feel. Lots to do if you feel adventurous.
