Mr Leak assessed the situation, explained the probabilities and first tried to repair the faucet. He then explained that process would not work.

I appreciated that he explained what he was doing and how it had to be from inside the walls to be accomplished. Job complete I feel I have a permanent fix versus a temporary repair and water leaking issues are resolved. Thank you!

Called to to find a bathroom leak for a real estate closing. Technician description was unprofessional, after 4 request for a more complete description have gone unanswered. The necessary cuts in the drywall were sloppy, unprofessional and difficult to fix. " Michael and son is going to diagnosed and cut the drywall Michael and son is not responsible for any damage Michael and son cut the drywall figure out where the problem from we call the to run the water but the is no leaks or
dripping anywhere no wood damage and is dry wood customer says she went to sell the house but the inspector
went to see the is no leaks. And no mold too" I would not recommend calling this company for any realtor needs ~ if you have a question about a service they don't not call you back.

Bill is professional, knowledgeable, honest and an artist with copper plumbing. He replaced the original, brittle plastic pipes, shut off valves, and blown pressure regulator from the water main through to a secondary shut off with copper and a pressure regulator with a meter in a very tight space. The copper work is beautiful! He also replaced two exterior hose bibs. He went the extra mile to correct the sloppy plumbing work done by the builders. Everything was explained before any work was done. No high pressure sale, no unnecessary work. If something didn t need to be done, he said it. I will ask for Bill for future plumbing needs. Quality workmanship, products and service! Thank you Bill!!!

Our service person was amazing. He was a young and very professional. He explained the process and parts to us in terms we could understand. He showed us the different size units and their speeds. He offered suggestions on what we could do to ensure long term use of our garbage disposal. I would highly recommend Jermaine.

Plumbing technician arrived on time wearing Covid protection and foot booties. Very efficiently and neatly diagnosed and repaired the problem. Explained the repairs made and provided information for future consideration as the problem will likely replicate itself in other builder grade fixtures in the house. Bottom line, very professional, knowledgeable and efficient. And the costs were reasonable and less than expected. Highly recommended.

Well they missed the original appointment time by 2 1/2 hours and had to reschedule for the next day, they came and did a good job getting my AC running efficiently. But leaving work early to meet the tech and he is running super late, did not leave me with a pleasent experience. Would I use them again, not sure.

Arrived on time to diagnose a leak in basement utility room. They were professional with dealing with me and provided a detailed quote with three options. I received two other quotes and went with a different plumbing company that did not have a high overhead. The other plumbing company's quote was for a 50 gallon water heater instead of the M&S quote of 75 gallons and the prices was $2,000 less. The 75 gallon WH was what was installed by the builder and was more than what was needed in the 2 bedroom townhouse, so in the end it should be sufficient. I have no complaints, I just wanted a less expensive option.

Came on time with good communication and an excellent attitude. The work was completed the same day and at a reasonable price. We had a pump fail that pumped our sewage up to ground level. The technician had all the appropriate parts to complete the job. He demonstrated and explained the repair. Also, was very conscientious about safety - mask stayed on, shoe covers were removed when going out to the truck and replaced when returning. Very happy with the work.

May experience with Michael & Sons the end of February through mid March 2021

Guess I expected too much from Michael & Sons. I expected them to live up to the good words they have plastered all over their web site about their good work. Unfortunately I am still waiting for them to perform what I needed correctly.

I needed two things two jobs done.
1) the main water line from the street to the house replaced (this would involve digging down to the old pipe connection and then boring a new hole into house)
2) the shutoff valve for an outside hose bib replaced because the shutoff no longer shut the water off and leaked inside the house.

I was told both jobs would not be a problem and done the same day.

How many stars would I give Michael & Sons? Read my story; I am open to suggestions.

NEW WATER LINE EXPERIENCE

On the appointed day the contractors Michael and Sons hired, did arrive within the time frame I was given--so things did start off well. They performed the necessary digging and started the boring. The boring was when things started to go array. A reasonable person would think that they would bore the new hole into the house in the vicinity of the old hole (I had previously removed the paneling around that main water shutoff. see Old Main Shutoff.jpg). However the contractors calculations were way off and they ended up boring the new hole into the house behind an area that was covered by paneling. This necessitated the contractors cutting into a section of the paneling to gain access to the area where the new hole was so they could install the new pipe.

They install the new pipe connect it to the main line and then they prepare to leave. What about patching the hole in the wall where the new pipe comes into the house, I inquire. "It was sealed on the other side" was the response. (Even if it were you would think they would seal up the hole they were responsible for.) What about replacing the outside hose shutoff that was in the contract, I inquire. "That will be done by a different crew", was the response. Funny I wasn't told previously that there would be two separate crews.

(While they were doing this job one of the crew members did ask me specifically how much Michael & Sons was charging me for this job. I have wondered if they would have done a better job and both jobs if I had given him an answer.)

A few days later their work is examined by the city inspector. Surprise surprise their contractor's work did NOT pass inspection--the hole in the wall not sealed off from the the dirt and elements. (see Hole Not Sealed.jpg)

Thanks to my sales rep Michael Kennie the hole was eventually sealed properly and after that it did pass inspection. If it were not for him I might still be waiting.

All in all there is a new main water line, but that area inside the house is now unsightly with a hole in the paneling and a pipe running along the outside of the paneling. But at least I can now take a shower and use the toilet again. Yea.

NEW OUTSIDE HOSE BIB SHUTOFF VALVE EXPERIENCE

I am still waiting on a new shutoff valve. For a reason only know to Michael and Sons they couldn't find anybody to do the job. More than once I was waiting in vain for somebody to show up. Eventually--once again thanks to my sales rep Michael Kennie--the old valve was cut out and replaced with a new pipe--sans shutoff valve--so I at least don't have to worry about leakage inside the house. (see Old Hose Bib Shutoff.jpg and Missing Shutoff.jpg).

I still need a replacement for the old shutoff valve.

Oscar the electrician called to confirm the appointment and advise when he would arrive. He arrived on time and was fully masked and wore gloves. He and his trainee wore covers over their shoes even though they walked only about 5 feet through the house to enter the garage where the work was to be performed. They were very professional.

Oscar quickly assessed the needed work to bypass a fluorescent light ballast and install two LED lights. The work was accomplished quickly and neatly. The work was checked to ensure everything was in proper operating order.

I was very satisfied with this work and with Michael & Son.
