Mi Hogar is always good . I have been eating there 15 years .

Not as good as I remember but I've been in Colorado and the Mexican food there is hard to beat.

Excellent food, excellent prices, excellent location and excellent service. I can t believe I waited 12 years before stopping to try this place. Our waitress was on point with everything and very sweet. The staff here work very hard and let s not forget how important it is to acknowledge that no matter where you go. I highly recommend the Tacos al pastor and carne asada. Thank you to everyone at Mi Hogar for your amazing food and wonderful service!

One of the best authentic Mexican restaurants in the Hampton Roads area. Plus the service is extremely fast. I've never had a problem with quality or accuracy of whatever I order. And the price is worth the food the served here.

Based on the description of the restaurant it states authentic Mexican food. Yeah right. I m 100% Mexican and it s sooooo hard to find something authentic in Virginia so when I saw that this was authentic I was excited. The tostada i ordered ended up being a soft taco within seconds that it got to my table. The enchilada sauce had 0 flavor. The rice was plain. The beans were yummy and the horchata was good. But that s the only reason I gave them 2 stars.

Authentic food here and the service was great. They make a mean Mojito too and the guac is well done.

Come here once or twice a month. We like the food and all of the server's we've gotten so far have been very friendly. I've really enjoyed everything I've ordered from there, you really can't go wrong. We'll continue to visit regularly.

The only thing I enjoyed here was the home made salsa. Queso was flavorless

Great restaurant - granted the most recent visit we ordered the mole chicken and it tasted like Hershey s syrup was a primary ingredient but everything else we have ever ordered was lovely!

Came here years ago and loved it. Certainly has changed. Salsa tasted like stewed tomatoes with no heat. The tamale was the consistency of mashed potatoes and the chile relleno was pure mush and tasted nasty. Never again. Guess I will stop somewhere else on the way home since all I ate was the canned refried beans.

It was very nice. The food was delicious. This was my first time there. The server and the other restaurant workers took precautions and wore mask. They were very accommodating.

Of all the Mexican restaurants in the area, I certainly have to say that this one is the best. The restaurant has a homely atmosphere mixed in with very polite servers. The food isn't badly priced either. If you wish to try it, I suggest checking out for yourself.

The wait staff was so friendly and attentive! We had a great dinner experience and would highly recommend! Very yummy and authentic! Very affordable as well. I ate the carne asada and el pastor soft tacos and they were incredible! They also have great sangria! And yummy margaritas of course.

Andrea was really nice but the white guy the waiter was spaced out didnt listen and the food was meh at best in would've been happier if the service was better I had to ask multiple time to have things bright to my table and never recieved them I was upset with the service but andrea the host was cool

Amazing amazing amazing! Talk about exceptional taste, service and the dessert...authentication is everything to me. Being latino myself, only good mexican food I've ever known was in my hometown Chicago. Until now! Love this place and our waitress perfect with the service. Highly recommended to anyone. LOVED IT! WILL BE BACK AGAIN!

We stopped to order carry out, no problem. They had a spot to review the menu. We had a large order, 12 people worth, not a long wait, and they helped carry to car. Food was good, and generous portions. While waiting I noted the in house diners seemed to be enjoying themselves and were well cared for.

Get the fresh guacamole it's extra but well worth it

I ordered a Bloody Mary and when it came to the table I was in shock-it was so watered down that it was pinkish. I have this problem everytime I go there. They re-make it upon your request adding more tomatoe drink-but it tastes very weak-like no vodka added. I will stick with beer in the bottle that cant be diluted.

I honestly don't know what happened to this establishment. Mi Hogar used to be so good! I dk if it's new management or what but the food is gross the taco shells are store bought! It's really sad! I will never ever go back here. If you want authentic Mexican food this is not the place, seriously! Go to El Reys or El Reys 2 or go to Jessys I promise food is authentic and alot cheaper than this prepackaged mess.

Currently sitting here in the restaurant and I'm very annoyed. I have asked for chicken in my entree rather than beef 3 different times and each time I was brought beef. The lack of attention my server and the cook have towards their customers needs to be changed asap.

Fast service with the best salsa! The food is always great and the service is too. The mole sauce is consistently yummy, the tacos are flavorful, and the bar selection is expansive. Rather than fish tacos, I had the grilled fish and it was light, a little smoky from the grill, and extra tasty with a delightful balance of flavors. The kids love it and with all private booths, the noise level stays pretty quiet with families. Nice decor as well.

Roberto at Mi Hogar is an awesome server. The food is great and the drinks are even better. Super fast service with hot delicious food!!

Had carne asada tacos Togo for the first time and they were really good! The food was packed very thoughtfully. The queso has the perfect consistency. The pico has fresh cilantro and it comes on the side, the tacos also came with a cup of salsa verde which was nice.
Their fajitas are good too.

Mi Hogar is a lovely family restaurant with a relaxed atmosphere, great food, great margaritas, friendly attentive staff and reasonable prices.

Food, service, and margaritas were on point. I didn't climax after the first bite, but I'm not complaining. Would definitely recommend this place to a friend

So Busboy or waiter that dropped off salsa and chips at the table was staring at me like a creeper. He was seriously standing there for a good minute and making me feel really uncomfortable. Plus....the Chimichanga was basically a fried taco drenched in white cream sauce with a side of watery refried beans and shredded lettuce. Was not at all worth the price that I paid for. I'm so used to Tex-Mex or better yet what grandma made...Everything's bigger and better in TEXAS!!!

My girlfriend got mad because I called the waitress a sweetheart but the food was amazing.

This place has changed a lot! I only went for appetizers this time, thankfully, and it's not the same as it used to be. The guacamole was the worst I've ever had, I can't even describe the taste. The bean dip I ordered was terrible. It tasted like straight bean paste with what I guess was supposed to be cheese on top, more like milk. The mariachi band was very good, so was the free salsa. Hence, the two stars.

Great taste; however, the portion sizes are very low and way too expensive.

I enjoyed this restaurant. Felt like a family restaurant. Prices were a little more than I'd like to spend but the portions we're good size. Everything was delicious. I was happy there was free refills on drinks too. I would visit here again definitely

No wait for seating, our server was very quick and we received our margaritas and food quickly. The basic tacos were great and my date enjoyed their fajitas. The strawberry banana margarita was amazing!
