After visiting their offices to register, I was quickly offered a temp role. This had not happened with any other agency so I was very impressed. Sue is a great person to deal with. She is friendly and professional and in constant contact with me regarding suitable roles in my required areas. Text job alerts are good too. Highly recommend.

Been registered with Meyer scott for sometimes.Despite my skills and experience they only contacted me for temporary work.
I was supposed to receive a telephone interview but it never came .the office didn't inform.me about the change of heart and why.
They only contacted me a couple of days later apologising .
Then they arranged an interview for me for yethe another temporary jobs .they said it was for 12 and then they rang again sating it was actually at 11.the day if the interview I turned up and the girl at the office took me to send conference room where a tiny laptop was waiting for me .when I asked what I was supposed to do she told me that I had to perform an hour long assessment to valter my skills .of course they didn't tell me an assessment was taking place !!!I was furious and I still am.these people have our lidedicated in their hands .don't care about our feelings and our personal.issues.you have to pray that they like you ifor not there will not be interviews.at lead to they bothered to read my curriculum unlike others .

I was made redundant as a result of the Coronavirus and found myself, like many others, in the dreadful position of having no job. I signed on with Meyer Scott and immediately was given the opportunity to talk and give a verbal personal account of my work experience and situation. We have used Meyer Scott on 3 occasions. Our current staff is frequently contacted by Meyer-Scott in hopes of poaching them away. Quite clever really... find us staff, charge us for it, steal staff away so we will have to use Meyer Scott again and pay more fees. It's a sneaky way of running a recruitment agency. When questioning Meyer Scott, they of course deny this practice and say it was an accidental mistake... a mistake they made 3 times.... Will not use again.

I found my experience in the St ives office very proficient and professional.
The paperwork was completed very quickly and the communication and support was excellent.if ryan or louise said they would call they did.I was offered an assignment as soon as my references were clarified.I felt.supported and valued as a temporary worker unlike other agencies which felt as though you were just earning the agency money.I hope after this assignment that we can work together in the future in a positive and productive way as it is now.

What incredibly helpful ladies. I was contacted by them as they had seen my CV online and said they thought they could help me with a job. Temp for 8 weeks possibly leading to six months. Rude, incompetent, and misleading

I recently applied for a job I saw advertised online. Meyer Scott were the company responsible for recruiting .

A few days later I received a text message asking me to phone them in order to "Progress [My] application"
To me this implies that the application has been successful and they want to discuss the position with me.

During the call I am told that I need to come to their office for a meeting, I assumed a job interview.

I was unavailable the day after the phone call but I could come in the day after that, less than 48 hours after contacting them which to me seems reasonable. The person on the phone speaks in a confident and slightly aggressive manor.
"Can you SERIOUSLY not do any sooner, this position is urgent?"
Despite finding this rude, I agreed to cancel my plans since I was interested in the position.
They then asked me if I received a specific email from them, I scanned over my emails and saw their name but the subject preview was wrong.
I said I had only received one email from them and it was not the one in question. Then the phone operator told me "that must be it"
I wrongly assumed she knew was she was talking about and was familiar with the email system so we continued.

I did not receive the email containing the information. I phoned them the next day, 2 hours before the meeting, to ask if they could resend it.
It turns out they had my email wrong, despite them having it from when I applied online. They had incorrectly copied it from my CV. They then sent 1 out of the 2 emails I was told I would receive.

I was told I needed my passport and proof of my national insurance number, again to me this implies a job interview.

When I went to their office everyone was very friendly and it was generally pleasant, other than the strong smell of vape pen.

I went and sat in an interview room with a recruiter to go over my CV. He proceed to get out someone else's CV. It's an easy mistake to pick up the wrong one from the printer but he then asked me about a manufacturing job I had in 2008, at this time I was not legally old enough to do a paper round. I look younger than my age if anything and he only noticed his mistake when I pointed this out to him.

He then asked if I could do a simple skill when on my CV it clearly states I am experienced on the topic. It would have been faster for him to do 10 seconds of reading than a minute of unnecessary questioning.

I was also told to "play the game" and not tell potential employers I was only after a temporary position, since I am university, so that they could apply for permanent positions for me and there would be more chance they could get a sale and I could get a job.

After going through the correct CV I was then asked which position I applied for since they had not yet told the company. Despite telling me it was so urgent that I had to cancel plans to come 24 hours faster.

The entire point of the meeting was to make sure I was entitled to work in the UK, get a list of transferable skills from previous position (which were listed on my CV) and sign up for their recruiting company.
Other than tricking people into signing up to their service, This could have been done online which would give the employees enough time to actually read the CVs of the applicants.

Ultimately, it appears they intentionally misled me to thinking it was a job interview to get me to sign up to their recruiting firm. It seems from the comments made about playing the game they aren t above misleading the companies who pay them either.

I dealt with Yvette at Meyer Scott who is very friendly and professional. Yvette sent me details of any assignments she felt would be suitable and kept me updated regularly as to how the application process was going. I would highly recommend Meyer Scott as even in the current job market where I am sure they are inundated with candidates you are still kept informed regularly and given personal service.

Abusive, threatening staff!! Call your number out of the blue, iv never registered with this company! When I queried where they got number I was faced with obstructive arrogant replies . A company operating like this! Avoid ! avoid!

After trying other agencies in Peterborough and being given nothing but false hope and promises, Sally found the perfect role for me and negotiated terms to suit my circumstances.
