Can't say enough about this great wine shop! Moved to Asheville several years ago and come from cities with great wine and great wine shops. Not only are they very knowledgeable and have the perfect assortment of wines, they aren't snotty and condescending which is so often the experience. Want a $20 bottle? Great! Want a $200 bottle? Great! Attitude is the same. I always love learning when I'm there as they are all great teachers. Something's always open and being tasted and every person can tell you about every bottle in the store.

The best place in Avl for all your vino needs. The have a great selection and are super helpful about finding tasty to wines to fit your budget. They also have some local beers so you can get everything in one place.

The staff are so kind and always eager to help you find a delicious bottle in your price range. We loved this place so much that we even hired them for our wedding wines - which they did an incredible job with!!! Highly highly recommend! Even for a casual stop by, there's always something intriguing to taste open.

Every time I've gone in to get a wine recommendation and described what meal it was accompanying, I've walked out with a delicious wine that typically was less than $20. The staff really knows their stuff.

As a beer guy, selfishly, I wish they had more. But, I almost always walk out with a good beer too.

In town for the weekend & needed a bottle of wine for dinner. I was met in the parking lot by an employee that was very polite & professional. He informed me that they were offering pick up only, but asked me a few questions about what I was looking for. He came back with a wine I was unfamiliar with, but was a perfect blend of what I described. Currently sitting a dinner with my girlfriend and we both love this wine. Will shop at Metro again.

Just dropped by to pick up a quick host gift. Got to sample some wines (they always have some open, the man who helped us said), and left with a very reasonably priced bottle I was happy with. They were having a tasting in the back room while I was shopping. The speaker seemed very informed.

Zach and the Metro Wines team are among some of the most PATIENT people we have ever worked with. We had a general idea of what we were wanting/looking for in our assortment choices for our guests, but had no idea how to get to there. Zach provided very thoughtful options and advice - and found a way to incorporate every option we were interested in having. We felt that every single guest had a customized option to enjoy. That being said - they were spot on with the quantities as well! Zach and his team made the options, decisions, and beverage transportation seamless. This is the place I go when I want to try something new. I love being able to outline what I want, and having them fill in the blanks. Have not been let down by any of their suggestions!

The staff are exceptionally knowledgeable and are happy to help you pick out a wine for any occasion. They also host many different events with local organizations. The Blind Tasting League, an educational group where you taste and learn about different wines, is a great experience and loads of fun!

They made great suggestions and were really friendly. They even gave us a discount.

Went there on a Sunday looking for some wine. Spent over an hour chatting with the owners. Unbelievable knowledge of wines. Everything we bought they packed and shipped to us at a very reasonable rate. Will be back there every time we visit Asheville.

We attended a Sherry and Port tasting. It was a fun, informative wine tasting, presented in an entertaining manner. The store has a great wine selection and super knowledgeable staff. Wide range of price points. They even sell really good wine glasses if you need them.
