This is my first time visiting the library in Andover. It feels like a chatting room, NOT a reading place. There are a few couple of students sitting at different tables. They are all chatting! It is hard to enjoy reading while you have all these noises around. I hope the library administrators could set up some rules and make the place more comfortable for people who actually want to read.

This library is a hub of city life in Andover. My older kids study here or meet their friends. My younger kids enjoy the many activities hosted by the librarians and spending time in the children's reading area.

They host many cultural events, such as recitals, presentations, and even magic shows. The building has a rich heritage.

Parking is plentiful in the back lot, but isn't free. You can find a small amount of free street parking.

For being a relatively small suburban community, Andover has a very nice and pretty large public library. You're probably going to find what you're looking for here, and the building is new, clean, and comfortable. This is a great place to study, do research, or just read a book. There are also used book sales here sometimes so if you want to expand your own library this is a nice place to stop by. Overall, a great community library.

I love coming here to study, the librarians are always very helpful, and there is a huge selection of books. My favorite thing about MHL is that it is part of an interlibrary loan system all across the Merrimack Valley that allows for people to borrow library books that aren't available at their local library. I personally have found this very useful when I am trying to read a book that is less common and I don't want to spend money on purchasing my own copy, or when a book is in high demand and the Andover library copies are all checked out, with a long waiting list. Overall this is a great place to spend time and to have access to a wide range of book titles.

Great place to get some homework done. Peaceful. Teen room for all those teens into gaming (teen room grades 6-12). Great employees Open late on weeknights for an emergency checkout of a book! Love this library! Great help, you'll find the book you need right away!

Everyone who works here is super friendly and helpful, especially on the second floor where you can research and print everything out. The third floor is the super quiet study floor.

However, the children's room is filled with stuffed animals that have been there for over AT LEAST 15 years now. I know this for a fact because I used to go here as a young kid and now have my own child. They are filthy, matted, and obviously germy. Come on now!!!! It's time to throw them away and get new toys or just don t have any.

I swear this has to be one of my favorite places. Best selection of music I've ever seen in a library; the curator in charge of this department needs a raise. I've discovered so many great bands by perusing the CDs. Lot's of extra services too, 3D printing, video games, kids activities, even the occasional concert. Keep supporting local libraries.
