Jennifer handled my mother s estate and made a difficult situation in my life easy. Living in DC she was my conduit to the probate court system. When I flew down to take the required oath, the probate office was impressed that all the paperwork was properly filed. To top it off they pulled off a mirricale just before a holiday to get my case completed. Highly recommend this firm. Since I am reviewing a law firm I feel I need a disclosure to make it official and fun so here goes : This is an unsolicited review from an actual customer , no compensation was received for writing this review. :-)

My family and I have worked with members of this firm for contract, estate, and family law for 3 generations. To me, they are at the top of their profession in ability, ethics, know how, responsiveness, and courtesy-- and just the ability to talk to them. I find their fees reasonable and competitive with the market for the services I receive.

Had to switch a property title, and after calling multiple real estate attorneys and getting nothing but voicemail after voicemail, finally got a call back from attorney Michael Fisher. Set up a time to meet at the office, got an email confirmation quickly after. Michael was very professional, and handled my problem quickly and easily!

In speaking to Attorney Hank Suessmith about a real estate transaction, I found him to be very patient, helpful and respectful...very rare in this industry/world.

Did not answer my ? About a simple form that came from them

McCurdy and Candler handled the sale of my house, the firm was selected by the buyer. The person managing the process almost never returned my calls or emails, I only got ahold of her by repeatedly calling her office line at different times of day. This was especially annoying because I was also trying to buy a new house in another state at the same time and needed the representative at MCurdy and Candler to communicate regularly and promptly with me and the title company for the new property. In addition, the few times I was able to speak to her, she acted like I was an inconvenience not a client. I gave the firm 2 stars because the lawyer who sat down with me and the buyer for the signing was professional, friendly, and competent.

This had been the most rocky closing ever. My lender has reached out at least a half dozen times for updated tax information and they have not responded. I am supposed to close tomorrow and can't get final numbers. I called this morning and they never called back. I would stay far away from this firm. I can't express how bad an experience this had been.
