I've never been here but I work very close and I'm really tired of telling google "I haven't been here" every day so I'm posting a rating. Maybe now Google will leave me alone. I think its only fair to give it a five under the circumstances. When they bake cookies it smells amazing.

This shop is utterly adorable. Their shortbread cookies are very high quality and distinctly home-made, and their service has always been friendly, genuine, and helpful. They also offer a delightful selection of tea, honey, and other treats. Definitely a must-try, and a box of their cookies is an excellent gift option too. They've created a lovely atmosphere in which to sell authentic, unique products.

Great cookies, been going to store for 30yrs.
however their shipping is terrible, 2 weeks long overdue, and Cookies were not available for our event. When we called to ask about shipment they were unsympathetic and blamed Canada Post
We ll be going elsewhere in future as they are unreliable on pre orders. Too bad!

I went to pick up an online order at the store. It wasn't the easiest to find since it's in a more industrious area near the airport. Parking is all at the rear, but you have to walk around to the front door. The ladies are so friendly and pick up was simple and easy! I was kindly offered a cookie for the road which I happily obliged! These cookies are delicious, and great quality! They have sales and special promotions once in awhile, so keep your eye out if you like shortbread!

When you can't have home made shortbread, Mary MacLeod's is a close second. Plenty of different flavours and packaging options so these make a great gift too. The worst thing about having this store in our neighbourhood is trying to walk by it all the time without going in and buying a dozen cookies!

These are the BEST shortbread cookies in Canada and beyond. I just came back from the UK and didn't taste a yummier shortbread than Mary MacLeod's. It's very convenient to order their products online but also check our their lovely Leslieville shop as they carry a wide range of products and always offer great service.

I love shortbread, and I have never heard of them until a friend of ours gave us a tin as gift recently. Since they found out I love shortbread. I think these shortbread are good; but nothing spectacular. Almost felt the shortbread either don't have enough butter or bake too long? I am not sure. it just make my mouth too dry or something. I just LOVE shortbread when they "melt" (so to speak in your mouth. My favorite way to eat them is take small bite and have the butter flavor slowly release onto my tongue; then sip a little bit of white tea and repeat. But these cookies seem to make me want to drink more than usual. Maybe bad batch? But not sure if it was worth the $$ they ask if they are like this normally......I may try it one more time if I happen to be in Toronto.

I've had alot of different types and kinds of shortbread throughout my life, however I never came across anything close to Mary Macleods shortbread.. its crispy yet soft and sweet but not too sweet... It's perfect!
Their clear packaging also make for cute little gifts to anyone -- especially for those who appreciate fine and gourmet foods... Their big clear round was wrapped in a cute bow, i brought it out during christmas dinner and everyone instantly fell in love.... Im not usually this passionate about food that I go out my way to write a review, but these are the definition of excellent.... 5/5

I enjoy traditional, home made Scottish shortbread every year at Christmas - I am lucky enough to have a family member who makes their old family recipe every year. This has made me a bit of a shortbread snob, I'm afraid - and I don't usually even bother trying anything storebought.

My boss purchased a tin of their shortbread cookies for a customer gift and we had the opportunity to sample them. They were so highly praised, I decided they were worth a shot, and am I ever glad I did!

Buttery, melt in-your-mouth amazingness, these cookies are a very close second to the ancient family recipe I enjoy every year. A real treat! I am so impressed with these cookies, I had to review them!

Absolutely love the shortbread from here. They are the best that I ve ever had. Crumbly, full of flavour and melts in your mouth. The smell when you first walk into the store entices you to want to buy everything in sight!
My favourites are the hazelnut crunch, chocolate crunch and espresso.
They never fail to disappoint. Also, they give you a free cookie with every purchase.

These are hands down the BEST shortbread cookies I have ever tasted. My daughter introduced me to them years ago and they are absolutely delicious. I started buying them as gifts last year and everyone I gave them to was blown away. There are many flavours to choose from, so you may wish to start with an assortment and go from there. The chocolate crunch and the orange crunch are my two favourites; however, why not order some and try them for yourself?

Delicious but pricey shortbread. My favourites are the Original, the Dutch Chocolate, and the Wholewheat Walnut. For some unfathomable reason, the shortbread sold by the dozen tastes better than its smaller counterpart sold by the tin. It will be informative if the store provides nutrition fact of the shortbread sold by the dozen to aid customers on a diet. You get a free shortbread when visiting the store and making a purchase. There s a bus stop right in front of the shop, and street parking is available.

Probably the best shortbread cookies I've had. Always melt-in-your-mouth goodness.

Came here a little while ago as part of the Savour Toronto tour and again, I was not disappointed. These were so good and memorable that I've ordered some online once I got back home out of province.

Definitely worth a visit if you like sweets and shortbread.

**BEWARE OF RODENTS**

Their cookies were bit on the dry side at times and sometimes over baked. Unfortunately this company does not honor or respect their employees and you will notice a high fluction of workers, that come and go. I will also caution customers that they have a serious rodent issue that needs to be addressed. In the first month of working here I witnessed one rodent behind the cash register, (the area where cookies are stored and given to the customers) and in front of the display area (closest to the store entrance). When it was brought to managements attention, they blamed it on "recent construction"...but that seems to be untrue as previous employees that I have spoken to, have said that has been an ongoing issue for years. Needless to say, I believe the company has potential but they need to improve their employee relationships, orgranizational skills, improve their customer service, and demonstrate effective ways at improving sanitary conditions within the store. Simply covering their cookies with Saran Wrap is not an effective method in evading rodents away from cookies. - former employee & customer
