MAD was founded by RenΓ© Redzepi in 2011 and holds offices in Copenhagen and New York City. MAD's legal entity, 'KomitΓ©en for MAD Symposiumβ is registered in Denmark as a not-for-profit association (in Danish: βforeningβ). Through their fiscal partnership with the Sustainable Food Alliance, donations to MAD are tax-exempt under the U.S. 501(c)3 scheme.
