The visit with the tablet is particularly interesting. Definitely worth taking it.

Although it is suggestive to visit the places where Marie Antoinette spent her last hours before the gallows and yet the structure is bare and devoid of any force evocative of those hours and those convulsed years. Sin.

Interesting history. Beautiful historic building. If you only have a few days in Paris, skip it. Check out the nearby St. Chappelle instead.

Right next to the amazing St. Chapel cathedral with all the beautiful stained glass, within a 30 second walk between the two, literally. This place is known for its underground structure with awe-inspiring ceilings and lighting. This place was used as a prison before, and now as court of law.
Located in the Palais de la Cite. You are also within walking distance to the Notre Dame.

Be sure to visit an extremely significant place for the French Revolution.

I m very happy to have been able to visit Marie-Antoinette s exhibition at the Conciergerie, but I found it a bit "light". I expected many more works diverted or paying homage to him for an exhibition dedicated to him. When I was younger, I had the pleasure of discovering the reconstitution of the queen's prison cell and there, a very big disappointment won our little group when we noticed that this reconstruction, however much awaited by visitors, was no longer the !!!! Big mistake to have removed it because honestly, the Conciergerie without the expo and the Queen's cell is no longer worth a detour.

Come here if you're interested with France revolution and Paris, there's also detail story about Marie-Antoinette, It's very nice to also go to Sainte-Chapelle which is only few blocks away, walking distance.

The place is a must in Paris, I highly recommend it, it is a place that you can revisit quite easily because you never tire of it! The descriptions are captivating and the immersion is total! The gift shop is quite varied with everything.

The place is definitely worth a visit, however the Histopad lacks audio commentary.
A place steeped in history in the heart of Paris. I highly recommend

A mythical place, at the origins of Paris and undoubtedly of the country. An unmissable place of the 6th century, of the French Revolution. It was here that the Austrian was imprisoned and that Victor Hugo's convict lives his last moments.
Possibility to rent a 'Histopad' for 5 with reconstitution of places in the Middle Ages and under the Revolution.

Never mind the inviting name, this imposing medieval fortress is the infamous prison of the French Revolution. Here, prisoners including Marie-Antoinette and Robespierre were kept in dank cells while awaiting their fate. The Salle des Girondins displays relics of the bloody days of the Terror, including a guillotine blade, prison regulations, and a copy of Marie-Antoinette's last letter.

Real pleasant museum showcasing the old hall, stories of people imprisoned und connecting topics.
It is right next to St. Chappelle und easy to find.
I do recommend spending a hour here before continuing your trip.

Difficult to find, not very impressive, but full of fascinating stories.
This place is a monument that I recommend visiting if you are passing through Paris. This place is several pieces of stories alone.
Visit price more than correct.
Do not pass without paying attention to its exterior walls, a magnificent work is present!

The staff here were all incredibly knowledgeable and nice. Learned a lot of France history here. Was our first stop of our trip and did not disappoint. Great stop if you are headed toward the cathedral of Notre Dame. It is right around the corner from there.

We entered with the Paris pass

Royal residence and prison. Symbol of real power. It has medieval and revolutionary rooms. The Gendarmerie room, located at the entrance, is Gothic in style and consists of four naves with pointed vaults. You can take the joint ticket with Sainte-Chapelle and you save yourself having to queue to enter

Beautiful. The museum is small. Reconstructed environments. The line to enter is not long

The first part of the museum is nice, but I honestly don't recommend it to visit ...

Nice visit of the concierge. You can have a tablet during the visit (5 more) that will make the visit much more fun. Ideal for children

Good for a shorter visit (2h), lots of information about the French Revolution and Marie Antoinette. Right next door is the Sainte Chapelle, which is architecturally beautiful and worth seeing with its curved ceilings and window frames. Visit is included in 2h.

Rich in history, impressive building, but many empty rooms, it's a shame. Exhibition on the French revolution very beautiful and instructive on the other hand.

O.k. to visit if you have some time to kill (unlikely in Paris). Just a huge, empty hall and empty Kitchen to see. Marie Antoinette's prison cell was not available due to apparent renovations etc...

The truth is that it is not bad, it is a building that I had not visited but it is true that they could give more space to visit because with the size of the Palace you can only visit one part but it is not bad

On the day of our visit to this magnificent place (people; as people can say it is a simple prison. You can do it in 30 minutes.) My family and I were thrilled to be in this historic place where many lives were taken. People ; French Revolution, a world historic landmark.
Whole families, friends, enemies, locked up for no reason or being richer than others or the nobility, in short, died of hangings or infectious diseases. You could feel the vibration, the energy inside those walls. Please go to this place and see.

We went while there was an exhibition on Marie Antoinette very, very interesting and well set up that also presented all the influences of today that are derived from her character ranging from paintings, cinema, comics and more.

Interesting visit ... that makes you think how difficult it was to live in the revolutionary era and what the people can do instigated by unscrupulous minds

I'd be disappointed if I went expecting money

Must visit to see what the French Revolution really was like.

We went to the concierge by chance. Unfortunately, rooms were closed, many displays were empty, at the start of the visit we had very little information. We had not taken the iPad and regretted it. The price remains high for the result.

Little queue to do, and content of the exhibition (coming during the exhibition on Marie Antoinette) absolutely interesting. However, I understand the fact of being in France and speaking French, but it is unacceptable that the captions are only in French! Shame! Not only the displays of objects but also of digital readings, present ONLY in French. It is not claimed in Italian, but that at least there are foreign audio guides or captions in English. We are certain to evolve and understand that in 2020 French is not the most spoken language in the world, especially after having paid an entrance ticket of 17 euros (including the chapel).
Saint Chapelle absolutely beautiful, and with understandable and exhaustive information, are worth the cost of the ticket

I visited in 2010, I felt The Conciergerie deserved a little bit more attention on that time.

An experience that makes real the Terrors, and delivers beauty at the same time, in St. Chappele, a gorgeous cathedral with some if the best stained glass in France. Informative, eerie, dreamlike and potent. Note the best times for touring as it can get crowded, and take advantage of the amazing cafe across the street!

Couldn't enter prison halls but no one told us.
Paid 4 to see just an entrance hall and use the toilet. The administration were rude when I asked how to access the prison cells by pointing to their eyes and saying "read the sign". They should make the sign clearer, wherever it was...
