LOCUS offers a continuum of solutions for foundations and donors to make direct local community investments. LOCUS is an on-ramp for local investing for impact.
Locus Impact Investing: Empowering Communities through Direct Local Investments
Locus Impact Investing is a company that offers a range of solutions for foundations and donors who want to make direct local community investments. The company serves as an on-ramp for local investing, providing individuals and organizations with the tools they need to invest in their communities and create positive social impact.
At Locus, we believe that investing in local communities is one of the most effective ways to drive economic growth, promote social justice, and build sustainable communities. By empowering individuals and organizations to invest directly in their own neighborhoods, we can create a more equitable society where everyone has access to the resources they need to thrive.
Our mission at Locus is simple: we want to help our clients achieve their philanthropic goals by providing them with innovative investment solutions that deliver measurable social impact. Whether you are a foundation looking for new ways to support your grantees or an individual donor seeking meaningful ways to give back, Locus can help you make a difference in your community.
One of the key benefits of working with Locus is our deep expertise in impact investing. We have years of experience helping clients navigate the complex world of socially responsible investing (SRI) and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) criteria. Our team includes seasoned professionals who are passionate about creating positive change through investment strategies that align with our clients' values.
Another advantage of working with Locus is our focus on direct local investments. Unlike traditional philanthropy models that rely on grants or donations from outside sources, direct local investments allow individuals and organizations to invest directly in projects within their own communities. This approach not only creates more sustainable funding streams but also fosters greater community engagement by giving stakeholders a voice in how resources are allocated.
At Locus Impact Investing, we offer several different investment vehicles designed specifically for foundations and donors who want to make direct local investments:
1) Community Investment Funds - These funds pool capital from multiple investors into one fund which then makes loans or equity investments into businesses or projects within specific geographic areas.
2) Donor-Advised Funds - These funds allow donors greater control over how their charitable dollars are invested while still receiving tax benefits associated with charitable giving.
3) Program-Related Investments - These types of investments provide below-market-rate loans or equity capital directly into nonprofit organizations or other entities aligned with the foundation's mission.
4) Socially Responsible Investment Portfolios - These portfolios use ESG criteria as part of their investment strategy while still seeking competitive financial returns.
In addition to these investment vehicles, Locus also provides consulting services designed specifically for foundations looking for guidance on how best to incorporate impact investing into their overall grantmaking strategy. Our team works closely with each client organization throughout every step of the process โ from initial planning stages all the way through implementation โ ensuring that each client's unique needs are met along the way.
In conclusion, if you're looking for innovative ways to support your community while achieving your philanthropic goals at the same time โ look no further than Locus Impact Investing! With our deep expertise in impact investing combined with our focus on direct local investments โ we're confident that we can help you create lasting positive change right where it matters most: at home!
