LWS consistently advertises for interpreting jobs with the hook that they will provide enough training for experienced and qualified interpreters to pass the certification test for you to be employed at a hospital full time. However, most hospitals hire directly, not through an agency. This sort of manipulation is how Language World Services keeps its pool of low-paid interpreters active. Because, once you get to the interview, they will entice you to work as a freelance for 1-hr minimum at $35/hr which sounds attractive but, it in reality it boils down to $11.66 per hour. Stay away from this agency.

To be honest, I have worked with other interpreting companies too.
But one will find the difference when he starts working with LWS, professionalism, training opportunities and so many others. They paid half of my fees when I Passed my exam and became a certified medical interpreter .
