KP Front is a digital command post application designed for fire departments. It provides a single app that combines mapping, floor plans, crew tracking, incident timeline, and reporting for use at emergency sites, with offline capability. The software is open source and intended to be self-hosted, either on the customer's own infrastructure or in a private cloud, keeping operational data under the user's control. It is targeted at militia, local, support, professional, and industrial fire brigades, and is used for incidents such as fires, traffic accidents, technical assistance, and chemical or oil spills. The product was developed based on practical experience with the Oberwil BL fire department in Switzerland.
