It's a very nice place. I was positive impressed by the location. I tried the swimming pool and for me it was very nice to find on the lanes, available for public, the indication of "slow lane", "medium lane" and "fast lane". There also two timer to measure the laps so it's easy to take the time undercontrol for who needs it (as per my training).

Attended waterpolo game here... Fantastic facility, not much spectator space around the pool!

Great experience. Unfortunately I had to cancel my membership due to moving out of state. Hallie made this process so painless and I am grateful for the good service I have received. Very clean, and like others have said, has everything you need (esp. many wonderful classes).

Have a really good swimming pool, gym and variety of training programs. However they have rigid price options for one or two month membership, which is really expensive.

Great gym. Since Galway is a summer holiday destination in the country, it would be good to have a more comprehensive membership for summer clients. As it is, it's pricey and with summer offers the gym might increase cash flow during the summer.

Large spacious gym with trainers for your need. There is a cafe and a stores inside tho but thought sports gear. Toilet and sauna facilities available.

This is in the center of university. It provides almost all sports related facilities.

Great potential to be one of the best gyms in Galway, however it is very dirty, gym equipment is more than often broken and showers and changing rooms are not well maintained and very crowded at peak times. There should be an open communal shower area where waiting times would be less and also easier to maintain as current shower cubicles are not the best.

Great facility but they removed some of the spectator seating leaving people standing for hours on end when a competition is on

Staff pre-covid were relatively friendly, but the company as a whole seems to be terrible at communication and service. No communication when shutdowns were happening in March, no communication on refunds or any real plan. Social media, emails and everything silent. (I emailed, called, and hit on social media several times and got no answer).

No I hear they are only extending memberships slightly- you have to schedule time (which is not their doing), but why pay for this, if limited availability?

Also for a gym their size, the weight room and machine room is VERY small. Good sized pool and sauna amenities, but due to COVID, cannot use these (not their fault) but still, why extend and essentially pay full price for facilities that are only partially available. Even as a student, not a good or fair deal.

Thinking of doing a charge back for the fees on my credit card.

It is olympic size pool, very clean and hygenic. Staff is friendly as well. Showers and lockers are clean and the changing rooms are sanitized as well evwry hour.

Love the accessibility pity not more equipment accessible. Great staff too.

Very busy spot with several activities and clubs training,pick your timing carefully and in advance,overall cheap,could do with more cleaning and desinfection

I have been attending this gym on and off for 7 years and it is mostly out of convenience that I continue to attend at weekends. There are many problems with the gym and unfortunately it has not changed over the time I have been using it. Maintenance and cleaning standards are poor. Many machines have layers of dust on them and tissues/personal items are left in bottle holders. Leads for plug-in cardio machines are dangerously strewn across the floor in some areas. The treadmills have recently been updated which was well overdue, but the new machines are not being maintained properly, some of the buttons are not working after only a couple of months of being in place. Shower temperatures alternate between hot and cold every minute or so. In the main gym area there is rarely anyone around to help or give advice and if there is somebody there they are often not keen to assist. The no photography policy is noted on the doors but does not appear to be enforced. Parking is not free unless you attend after 6pm or at the weekend. To end on a positive note, some of the staff are lovely, the wall cafe at the entrance is handy for a quick coffee or protein bar. Hopefully management will see some of these reviews and address the issues which consistently come up when I meet other users of the gym.

One of the best sports centre in Galway , situated in NUIG.

If youre any way a serious gym rat don't get your membership here. Not enough squat racks, barbells or bench press benches. Its not unusual to have to wait up to half an hour to 45 mins to get a squat rack here around peak time.
