It's a hip, bougie bar/restaurant with a nice modern vibe and all attractive female waitresses. It's extremely similar to earl's down the street. The service has always been good, nothing to complain about there.

The caesar salad is surprisingly really, really tasty. I like my dressing to be made with real anchovy's, and this one does a good job of not tasting overly fishy but not tasting like Kraft dressing, either. The nachos are also pretty tasty, as well as the sushi.

Decent food, good ambience, great service. The menu is small, not many options...but I am sure everyone can find something worthwile. I always have :-)

@Terriann: You really took good care of me and my wife. You don't know, but we were here for our 3rd Marriage Anniversary. Thank you for everything

The staff is really nice and welcoming. Outside the a nice selection of beers and cocktails, the appetizers and snacks are of good quality and tastey. The Gyoza is fresh and the nachos can be ordered at varying levels of spiceness. Joey's has full meals but I simply cannot comment on it since I have not tried anything. Lastly, the atmosphere is modern with a younger crowd and my only very minor criticism is the music is very loud.

Been here a couple times.
Best dishes: chicken wings appetizer, salmon bowl. The apple pie is life changing.

Food quality/Consistency/Price: consistently just okay. Nothing really innovative. Pretty steep pricing. Lots of drink options.

Wait/Atmosphere/Service/Location: validated parking, right in downtown Bellevue. The music and crowd can be unpleasantly loud at times. The service was actually pretty great.

This place has a nice atmosphere. You can go casual or a bit more dressy if you prefer. Good food, as well as TV's running games, if any are on at the time. Make no mistake however, this is no sports bar...though you can definitely find burgers and other great eats on the menu. I go for the steak!!! Definitely worth stopping in to check it out if you're hungry and in the Bellevue Square area. The only reason I didnt go 5-star is because I do find the steaks are all around tastier at Jak's Grille in the Issaquah area. There is room for improvement in that regard.

The service initially was fast, however once the food came there was no cutlery or napkin, we spent so long trying to ask for a napkin that we jumped straight to asking for the bill once the server eventually showed up - they're charging premium prices for a poor service

The wait staff was great and the drinks were good. This sort of place isnt really my scene, its in the heart of downtown Bellevue. Dont get me wrong its really nice and im kind of conflicted on what I should rate it. For everything we drank it was wayy overpriced and the music was so loud we had to raise our voices just to speak to each other at our table even though there was no place to dance?? Yet it's still worth to drop in. The food was decent enough, for its price.

Food is okay, service was good, drinks are definitely watered down. Overall my waitress was great but my glass of water, which I had to send back, was dirty. It was pretty obvious to me that the old-fashioned and tequila shot that I ordered (which were not cheap) do not contain the amount of ABV they should. I should have said something while I was there but I did not want to believe the other comments here. Pretty disappointing that an up-scale restaurant would trick costumers by adding water to an expensive shot of tequila.

They have a lot of different things going on here to keep your attention. A custom cocktail list that while not what I would consider outstanding it still has something for everyone. The wait staff is known for being attractive and friendly. Large big screen TVs overlooking the bar area. And a food menu that more than holds its own against many of the other pure restaurants in downtown Bellevue. Try the pork dumplings or short rib. Both dishes are excellent.

Dining at Joey creates fun and memorable nights and experiences. Delivering consistent service that exceeds expectations. The food, drinks and atmosphere hit the mark for what dining in this city should feel like. However, Joey Bellevue I believe has an added edge. I have visited Joey Bellevue a few times recently and I have felt remembered and cared for. Thanks to Irina and the rest of the staff we were greeted with the absolute best. I think Joey Bellevue is hiring leaders that have made this Joey elite.

Hostess, waitress and champagne server went above and beyond to make our party of 11 women have the best time last night! When we changed our minds about where we wanted to sit, no problem; When some ladies started getting cold outside, they pushed all the heaters around us and brought out blankets; when we changed our minds about how to pay the bill, our waitress graciously worked with us . Excellent service by fun and friendly staff! Everyone loved their dinners, desserts and drinks. We have a new favorite place to dine! Thank you Joeys!

Hands down the best edamame that I have ever had. Their ahi tuna burger was kind of over cooked, but the appetizers are amazing. Also if it's a nice day you can sit on the patio and watch the nice cars park across the street (one night it was an Audi R8 another day it was a lambo). The drinks are relatively cheap and the vibe here is great.

I have always liked Joey for restaurant dining in the days when we could. I am extremely pleased with how they are handling food quality and curb side delivery take out during this covid period. I have ordered food a few times and food is always super fresh, thoughtfully packed and sealed. Warm cookies with my order have been a nice surprise. There is always someone with mask and gloves to deliver the food straight to your car. Thankful for their amazing grocery/pantry list too.

Lovely upscale restaurant with a very lively bar. The seating area is away from the bar so you wont be bothered by any noise. Food was delicious and well presented. It's a fun eclectic menu. Wait staff was attentive and friendly. We went there after work, rather late at 10:45 and had no problem being seated or ordering a great meal.

Bartenders will most likely ignore you for 10-15 minutes and continue making fresh drinks for other people at bar before even taking your order. I ordered chicken parmesan which was quite average for it's price and took way longer than it should've. The quality did not validate the long wait at all.

Atmosphere and crowd is good.

I am a traveler, and I really enjoyed my time here. Tge experience is unique, the employees were really nice and well behaving. One suggestion is to reduce the volume of the songs a bit, so that the people can still and tall a bit. When I visited, they were playing the songs very louder, literally we couldn't talk each other.

I really like this place for it's upscale and comfortable atmosphere, good for dating, hanging out with friends or watching sporting games, there's indoor/outdoor dining, the customer service is great! The food and drinks are deliscious and its not too pricey. I will be returning again.

Food was supposed to be good here, but we never found out. Sat in the bar and despite lots of employees running around we were completely ignored for 10 minutes. Decided to move to the bar counter and were ignored for another 10 minutes. So we left. Lots of other places to eat in downtown Bellevue where they actually serve you..

Update 3/13/18 - Julie from Joey's followed up with me to personally apologize for our experience. Really appreciate that they care enough to actually call and talk to me about this. Updating my review from 1 to 3 stars to reflect the care they have for their customers. Will be giving them another shot soon and see if we have a better experience the second time.

I did pick-up and when I got there no one came out to greet me. I looked through the window and there must ve been five cooks and four ladies working. I thought there would be a designated lady to handle to-go/Door Dash orders. None of them showed any sense of urgency. I had to flag a lady down and she asked if I needed help. I told her, ummm...ya. I ordered food to go. By that time, there was a line of four other guys waiting for their food who wondered the same thing.

Ten minutes later, a lady who ALMOST had an idea of what she was doing finally came out with my food.

The food was good but the experience was basically a bunch of pretty ladies, one of which was wearing green yoga pants (unprofessional), that couldn t handle a TO-GO order.

UPDATE: recently the music is definitely more quiet and it doesn't prevent you from having a normal conversation, so I've increased the score and updated my review.

The good:
1. Food is really good except for the butcher's sandwich maybe.
2. The service: well dressed, attentive and nice.
3. The decor is definitely appealing with the wood tables and leather couches.

The bad:
1. Some tables are not lit well and you end up not being able to see what you're eating because you cast a shadow on your plate. Surprisingly annoying.
2. A bit too pricey.

Best customer service! Love this place!! Amazing attention to detail and delicious food. Every time I go they make me feel like a million bucks. I ordered 2 bags of fruits and veggies from the Joey Market during this Quarantine, and I received a free cookie with a handwritten note You deserve this ! Love this!

Joey, you ve done it again! After I wrote the above review a week ago, I bought a second set of groceries this week, and received a free molten chocolate cake with my order.

This was our first time here. I ordered the Sirloin Steak and Prawns. My Partner ordered the Salmon dish. I don't eat Potatoes. I asked for Broccoli instead, but they were out. Instead they offered a Sauteed Vegetable and the dish already came with Asparagus. It was sometime after 30min had passed before we received our orders. My steak was ordered Med Rare, but it was Rare, and almost Blue on one end. It didn't bother me, as I can eat almost anything anyway. The Asparagus was perfect as were the sauteed Vegetables, not a normal choice on the menu ( it should be! ). My Partners Salmon at one end was... Raw. She couldn't finish her meal anyway, as she said she was stuffed. If it were me, I wouldn't have been happy about that. The wait staff were wonderful and very attentive. But... here it goes... The music was so loud , I had to nearly shout to be heard over the table. It actually gave me the beginings of a headache. In fact, everyone had to shout to be heard. Why? I DON'T GET IT. The second thing I noticed, was the kitchen where the food is prepaired, seemed fairly unorganized. Maybe that's why it took so long to get our food.

Price: A Little on the steep side. Maybe to keep average working peeps like me out.. ?

Ambience: A bit above my norm, but I felt comfortable there, and that's what counts.

Wait staff? Excellent!

Food: Very Good. Almost worth the price. Oh them sauteed veggies! And the Asperigus perfect ! If our two dishes weren't under cooked, I would have given an extra Star.

Would I go back ? Maybe if I'm in that area, and feeling a little flush ( Rich!... for you yuppies, Xer's, Yer's, whatever.. )

Went to Joey's for the first time today. There were 8 of us in our group. The wait staff was very unfriendly, and SLOW. A group of guys sat next to us (and came after we were sitting) they got their food and 2 rounds of drink before they even took our order.. The food was great.. Staff could do better!

We stopped in for drinks after dinner. The staff was attentive and helped our group get their beverages.

The music was a little loud and made conversation in groups difficult.

The decor was upscale and not over the top.

The drink menu was pretty comprehensive and would not have hard time finding an option.

Prices seemed reasonable for downtown.

Amazing service, including an excellent hostess staff who offer champagne as you enter the restaurant. Service is excellent, bar menu is incredible, food never, ever disappoints. The head chef is incredible, you can have gyoza or nachos, great selection. This is our favorite restaurant on the eastside.
