We educate, entertain, and engage our audience by bringing to life big ideas and authentic stories, and by celebrating all things Jewish.
Jerusalem U: Bringing Jewish Culture to Life
Jerusalem U is a dynamic and innovative organization that is dedicated to educating, entertaining, and engaging audiences by bringing big ideas and authentic stories to life. With a focus on Jewish culture, Jerusalem U celebrates all things Jewish through its various programs and initiatives.
Founded in 2009, Jerusalem U has quickly become a leading voice in the world of Jewish education. The organization's mission is to inspire young people around the world to connect with their heritage and embrace their identity as Jews. Through its online courses, films, events, and social media platforms, Jerusalem U has reached millions of people across the globe.
One of the key features of Jerusalem U's approach is its use of technology. By leveraging cutting-edge tools like virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR), the organization creates immersive experiences that transport viewers into different worlds. Whether it's exploring ancient ruins or walking through modern-day Israel, these experiences help audiences connect with Jewish history in new ways.
Another important aspect of Jerusalem U's work is its commitment to authenticity. Rather than presenting a sanitized version of Jewish culture that glosses over difficult topics or controversies, the organization embraces complexity and encourages open dialogue about challenging issues. This approach helps audiences develop a deeper understanding of Judaism as a living tradition that continues to evolve over time.
At the heart of everything Jerusalem U does is storytelling. Whether it's through documentaries like "Beneath The Helmet" which follows five Israeli soldiers during their service or "Mekonen: The Journey Of An African Jew" which tells an inspiring story about an Ethiopian-Israeli soldier who becomes an officer in IDF; or through interactive exhibits like "The Western Wall Experience," which allows visitors from around the world to virtually visit one of Judaismβs holiest sites; each project aims at telling compelling stories that resonate with audiences on an emotional level.
In addition to producing content for general audiences interested in learning more about Judaismβs rich history & culture; Jerusalem u also offers educational resources for schools & universities worldwide looking for innovative ways to teach students about Israel & Judaism.
Overall, there are many reasons why you should check out what Jerusalem u has on offer! From immersive VR experiences that transport you back in time; To thought-provoking documentaries exploring complex issues facing modern-day Jews - there truly something here for everyone! So whether you're looking for inspiration or just want some entertainment - be sure not miss out on this incredible resource!
