BATMAN138 is an oil painting gallery and contemporary art studio based in Yogyakarta, operating since 2009. The studio is home to two collaborating artists, Sheol and Moonra, who work side by side in a shared studio. The gallery offers hand-painted oil on canvas works, organized into three curated spaces: the Sheol collection featuring dark, dramatic compositions with thick brushwork; the Moonra collection featuring soft palettes and subtle gradations; and a Portrait Work service for commissioned classical European-style portraits. Each piece is described as original and hand-painted, produced through a layered process of glazing over impasto.
