Big thanks to the team at JP Instruments. I just wanted to say how much I appreciate your equipment. After taking the LOP course and learning to really use JPI systems for diagnostics, we’ve cut down our troubleshooting time significantly. We’ve now installed them on eight of our Barons and all twenty-one of our 210s. Having this data on board allows us to video call pilots and guide them through issues in real time. We run Savvy for data logging and it works great. With fuel at $2.00 per liter here, dropping our Barons from 120 to 90 liters per hour puts real money back in our pockets. Plus, running LOP means our cylinders last their full life instead of getting pulled at 1,100 hours. Slashing operating costs is one of the smartest moves in aviation. Cheers, Ben

I’m extremely satisfied with the FS450 from JP Instruments. I mounted it in my Cessna 172, replacing the original analog clock in the lower left panel, and the LED display is bright and highly legible there. Before installation, I relied on a standard 8.0 GPH fuel flow figure for planning. The FS450 confirmed that this is indeed the worst-case rate at high throttle below 5,000 feet MSL. The real advantage is the flexibility to choose between economy (6.8–7.2 GPH) or loiter settings (6.5 GPH or less) to balance time versus cost. I also appreciate getting real-time, accurate data during high-altitude cruise (10,000+ MSL) instead of just trusting Cessna POH charts. While POH data is useful, the FS450 provides comprehensive fuel awareness across climb, cruise, and descent phases, enhancing safety. It also integrates seamlessly with my Garmin Aera 550 for critical waypoint data like fuel required and reserves.

Five Stars I installed a JPI EDM 760 on my P-Baron not long ago, and it has already proven its worth. During a cruise at 21,000 feet between Denver and Cleveland, the CHT on the number four engine started climbing dangerously. Even though I tried several adjustments, I couldn't pinpoint the issue in the air. I decided to cut power and make an emergency landing in Omaha. The inspection showed a significant crack running three-quarters of the way around the cylinder. Without the precise monitoring from JP Instruments, I likely would have suffered a catastrophic engine failure. The cylinder was replaced with no other damage. This incident paid for the system in just a few months.

The FS 450 has become an essential tool in my Cessna 152. I’m so impressed with its accuracy that I frequently recommend JP Instruments to fellow pilots. It’s a fantastic gauge, and I really wish more aircraft came with this level of quality straight from the factory.

I’ve gone through three JP Instruments FS-450 monitors across my various planes, and I wouldn’t fly without one now. Their precision really beats traditional mechanical gauges, giving me confidence in the data.
