This is a Great School. I love it. It is a no nonsense school that pushes your kids to learn and prepares them for College. I show a review that said Bad School. If you have a hard headed child who thinks they are grown then this is not the school for you. They are very strict on dress, attendance, and class behavior. I love it. My daughter love it also. Really!!!
Don't believe the negative reviews.

I hate this school because their to strict and we get out so late and the neighborhood it in ain't such a good neighborhood to be letting out kids. This school is like a prison they treat us like were little kids when we're all young adults. They need to get their facts together and figure out what they need to do for these kids don't get shot I prefer that we get out at 3 o'clock it perfect time to get out and the rules are stupid the mayor as to do something about this school because this school out of control.

Ever since I came to Intrinsic for 7th. Intrinsic has impacted my life in such a big way. They made me into a better student. The teachers here are absolutely amazing, they really truly care about the students and really strive to help the stdents get into to college or help students get ready for highschool. Love intrinsic.

The teachers are great. Failure is not an option. My only issue is that they have out demerits like tictacs. You can barely sneeze without being a demerit. I'd love to see a give and take there. Maybe show the children how good behavior is rewarded, that not everything they do is bad.

I rate 2 stars because, it is kinda too bossy their. I know you guys mean business but c'mon. My school computer has 3/4 of googled blocked. All games are blocked for some reason and I don't like it. I'm not asking for you guys to unblock agar.io and steam, and all that. I'm just asking you guys to block some games like foes.io, that used to be my favorite game to play with friends but you guys just blocked like nothing. Sometimes I finish doing my hw early, and when i click on a game, all a see is the big blue lock and the word goguardian. It bothers me and every kid. I'm speaking for a lot of kids right now, and we all want that privilege back.

The kids that are complaining on here dont know what theyre talking about. This school does have good teachers and provides good opportunities. The uniform stuff is irritating because administration pick favorite students, and allow some girls and boys to wear things that they would stop other kids from wearing. Food is awful, but isnt all school food awful? If you act up, they will give you demerits, but it isn't hard to avoid getting them. The school tries WAY too hard to seem open minded and progressive. Other than that, it is not a bad place to be, education wise.

Academically, the middle school is great. The teachers are supportive, creative, and enthusiastic. They focus on student responsibility, but are always available and helpful to the kids. The downside is that most focus is on the high school, so middle school programming is often an afterthought. Sorely lacking in enrichment classes, and always told they're available at the HS level. Unfortunately that doesn't do much to help MS students.

This school has changed me, my friends, and almost 90% of the school. This school is god awful. A lot of people from NORMAL schools will look back to their high school years and say, "what a good time." Us intrinsic students on the other hand? We'll remeber nothing but the depression this school gave us. Please ignore the parents review and read the students (me). Dont send your kid here, dont make them make the same mistakes i did.

About Intrinsic schools

Reimagining school. Every student has different strengths and needs, and it's our job to attend to them. Welcome to Intrinsic Schools!

Intrinsic Schools: Reimagining Education for Every Student

Intrinsic Schools is a Chicago-based non-profit organization that is redefining the traditional education system. The organization was founded in 2013 with a mission to provide personalized and innovative learning experiences to students of all backgrounds and abilities.

At Intrinsic Schools, every student is unique, and their strengths and needs are taken into account when designing their educational experience. The organization believes that every student has the potential to succeed, but traditional schools often fail to recognize this potential due to rigid curriculums and teaching methods.

To address this issue, Intrinsic Schools has developed a personalized learning model that focuses on each student's individual needs. This model allows students to learn at their own pace while receiving support from teachers who are trained in differentiated instruction techniques.

The curriculum at Intrinsic Schools is designed around project-based learning (PBL), which encourages students to apply what they have learned in real-world situations. PBL also helps students develop critical thinking skills, problem-solving abilities, and collaboration skills – all of which are essential for success in today's rapidly changing world.

In addition to its innovative approach to education, Intrinsic Schools also places a strong emphasis on community involvement. The organization partners with local businesses and organizations to provide students with opportunities for internships, job shadowing experiences, and other hands-on learning opportunities.

One of the key features of Intrinsic Schools' personalized learning model is its use of technology. Each student receives a laptop or tablet as part of their enrollment package, which they can use both inside and outside the classroom. This technology allows teachers to track each student's progress in real-time while providing them with immediate feedback on their work.

Another important aspect of Intrinsic Schools' approach is its commitment to diversity and inclusion. The organization serves a diverse population of students from different racial/ethnic backgrounds as well as those with special needs or disabilities. To ensure that all students receive an equitable education experience regardless of background or ability level, the school provides additional resources such as bilingual support services or accommodations for those who need them.

Overall, Intrinsic Schools offers an innovative approach that challenges traditional notions about what education should look like. By focusing on each student's unique strengths and needs while providing them with access to cutting-edge technology tools like laptops or tablets along with community partnerships & internships programs - it aims not only help them succeed academically but also prepare them for success beyond graduation day!
