Impact100 DC is an all-volunteer women's philanthropic community that is dedicated to improving lives in the Greater Washington, DC area. Our mission is to empower women to make a difference by pooling our resources and collectively funding high-impact grants for local nonprofits. We believe that by working together, we can create positive change and make a lasting impact on our community.
Our History
Impact100 DC was founded in 2015 by a group of women who were passionate about giving back to their community. They saw the power of collective giving and wanted to create an organization that would allow them to pool their resources and fund transformative projects in the Greater Washington, DC area.
Since then, Impact100 DC has grown into a vibrant community of over 200 members who are committed to making a difference. We have awarded over $1 million in grants to local nonprofits that are working on issues such as education, health care, poverty alleviation, environmental sustainability, and more.
Our Approach
At Impact100 DC, we believe that every woman has the power to make a difference. That's why we have created an inclusive and welcoming community where women from all backgrounds can come together around shared values of philanthropy and social impact.
Our grant-making process is designed with transparency and rigor in mind. Each year, we invite local nonprofits to submit proposals for high-impact projects that align with our focus areas. Our members then review these proposals through a rigorous evaluation process before voting on which projects will receive funding.
We also offer educational programs throughout the year that help our members deepen their understanding of key issues facing our community. These programs cover topics such as nonprofit management best practices, social justice advocacy strategies, and more.
