To reconcile with the human species

One of the most irritating aspects of tourism in Galapagos (it is not the only one) is the prevalence of cash or rabid cash (at least in January 2018, when we were). Most tour operators, restaurants, and even some hotels do not accept credit card payment. In this way, they avoid paying taxes to the State, which, however, must maintain one of the most extensive natural parks in the world. There are even cases where restaurants offer in the menu the price with VAT included and without VAT, as if it were completely optional to pay taxes. A scandal of confusion between the natural and the corrupt. The Miconia restaurant has good cuisine but also accepts credit cards as a payment method and has a good free Wi-Fi connection, as well as spectacular views over Puerto Baquerizo. Particularly recommended is the seafood barbecue, which has everything one ever dreamed of. The service is slow (as in all Galapagos) but gentle.

A basic tourist hotel with many people going and arriving. The place is noisy so not a place to rest. The rooms are smallnand could be claustrophobic. The shower is for small pleple and for adults, holds a danger with a spike at the junction of the doors closing. Be careful. The breakfast! Better off going elsewhere. Like today, the coffeenser ednin an open milk jug nd no milk. Butter was served as already used by others. When asked to replace, extra butter placed on top. The internet sucks. Only available in the lobby and very slow. Not recommended.

Decent hotel in an excellent location. I was there with a group so got to see a few different rooms. Mine was spacious, on the ground level so it was nice and cool. No complaints. The other room was much smaller but sufficient. Air con worked and water was warm enough to shower (but it s hot and humid so a cool shower is refreshing). I enjoyed my stay here - don t expect luxury, you are on an island.

It would be a 5 star if it were not for breakfast (which in my opinion is worth a lot) since it was small and with no variety to choose since it was a unique breakfast menu. The rest excellent. The view, the location, the services of the hotel, the rooms and the attention are very good!

This hotel was the worst place we stayed during our 9 days in the Galapagos on 3 different islands because there was no hot water for the entire duration of our 3 night stay. We spoke with the front desk 3 different times and were brushed off in various ways with assurance that someone would come up to work on it. it had the feel to us as a hotel that was a nice place to stay at some time in the past but that had changed management and is in a state of decline (especially when it comes to maintenance) now. I don t understand why this hotel is still listed in the Lonely Planet guide.
Location was the only aspect that I would praise about this hotel.
