HGC has been a great company to work with. I feel valued, and the organization invests in my growth. Part of my job also involves talking with clients, which means that I know I am not alone in believing that HGC delivers fantastic results.

Great workplace. People who care and love what they do. Ownership is outstanding hard working individuals. Work is of the highest quality.

I am revising my previous review, there used to be a time when the general contractor worked with the subcontractor and created a relationship of give and take. That is no longer the case and HGC is a prime example of that kind of general contract instead of cooperation the relationship between general and subcontractor is more accurately described as subjugation. This general will do anything/everything to make the owner happy which is good if your an owner which as I see on the other reviews that are 5 stars many of which are most likely owners/owners representatives or employees of the company HGC performed construction services for, being a subcontractor for HGC entails several things:

1) They do pay extremely well which is a big deal for many subcontractors
2) There are under qualified people in positions of authority i.e. project mangers and site superintendents
3) They play favorites with their subcontractors
4) Schedule matters only, reality does not
5) Everything is always a rush and always an emergency

Yes I do give many 1 star reviews because of the mere fact that many general contractors have been doing construction for the same way for 100 years and have been treating their subcontractors precipitously worse over the last 20 years, I represent a silent majority of disgruntled subcontractors who are treated as disposable tool during the job that can be thrown away when the job is complete. So yes I am keeping my 1 star review.

Great company and a bunch of guys to work with. Chis the project manager was on top of everything and did his best to make the project run smooth. Have been watching their work the past ten years and it's been astonishing.
