Henry Kaufmann Campgrounds: A Summer Haven for Children Since 1953
The Henry Kaufmann Campgrounds (HKC) is a non-profit organization that has been providing children with unforgettable summer camp experiences since 1953. Located in Long Island, New York, HKC offers a wide range of activities and programs that cater to the interests and needs of children from all walks of life.
At HKC, we believe that every child deserves the opportunity to experience the joys of summer camp. Our mission is to provide a safe and nurturing environment where children can learn new skills, make lifelong friends, and create memories that will last a lifetime.
Facilities
Our facilities are second to none. We have over 300 acres of land which includes two lakes for swimming and boating, multiple sports fields for soccer, baseball, basketball and more. We also have an Olympic-sized swimming pool with diving boards as well as an indoor pool for rainy days.
In addition to our outdoor facilities we also have indoor spaces including art studios where kids can explore their creativity through painting or drawing classes; music rooms where they can learn how to play instruments or sing; science labs where they can conduct experiments; computer labs equipped with state-of-the-art technology so they can learn coding or graphic design skills.
Programs
We offer a variety of programs designed specifically for different age groups ranging from pre-schoolers up through high school students. Our youngest campers participate in activities such as arts & crafts projects while older kids might take part in team-building exercises like ropes courses or rock climbing walls.
For those who are interested in sports we offer everything from traditional team sports like soccer or basketball to individual pursuits such as tennis or golf lessons. We even have equestrian programs available!
Our staff is made up of experienced professionals who are passionate about working with children. They undergo extensive training before the start of each season so they are fully prepared to provide your child with the best possible experience at camp.
Safety
At HKC safety is our top priority. All staff members undergo background checks before being hired and we maintain strict policies regarding supervision ratios so you can be sure your child will always be under close watch by trained professionals while at camp.
We also take great care when it comes to food allergies β all meals served at HKC are nut-free! Additionally our medical staff includes licensed nurses on site 24/7 during each session should any medical issues arise during your child's stay at camp.
Conclusion
If you're looking for an unforgettable summer experience for your child look no further than Henry Kaufmann Campgrounds!
