Hecht's is a company that is dedicated to exploring the rich history of Baltimore. The company helps historians, students, and residents tell the stories behind Baltimore's buildings and neighborhoods. Baltimore has a long and fascinating history that spans over 300 years. From its early days as a colonial port town to its role in the Civil War and beyond, Baltimore has played an important role in shaping American history. Today, many of the city's historic buildings and neighborhoods are still standing, providing a glimpse into its past.

Baltimore has several beautiful parks that have been around for over 100 years such as Druid Hill Park which was established in 1860s or Patterson Park which was established in 1827s . These parks have played an important role in shaping the city’s landscape over time.
Another area of focus for Hecht’s is theaters. Theaters have always been an important part of Baltimore’s cultural scene since early days when it was known as “The Athens of America”. Many famous performers such as Houdini performed at Hippodrome Theatre which opened in 1914 or Billie Holiday who performed at Royal Theater which opened in 1921.
Rowhouses are another area where Hechts’ expertise lies. Rowhouses are one of the most iconic features of Baltimore architecture dating back from early days when they were built by wealthy merchants who wanted their own homes close to their businesses . These houses can be found throughout many neighborhoods including Fells Point , Canton , Mount Vernon , Bolton Hill , Federal Hill etc .
In addition to exploring these areas individually , Hechts also looks at how they all fit together within larger contexts such as urban planning or social movements like civil rights movement . This approach allows us not only understand individual pieces but also how they relate each other .
