My family has been going to Gstaad Palace for decades and never have i been treated so poorly! The concierge with the glasses has been talking to me with extreme arrogance several times. I will no longer go to Palace as long as this concierge works there. Please note that the rest of the staff was very kind and professional
Speaking of the NightClub/Bar area - Not sure about Hotel itself - however... at the bar, Expect to Pay $40-$55 Shots of tequila - Expect to make a long wait for the Bar, for the coat Check, for the Club entrance - Yes, everything at the end of the day is worth it for your first time and as for me... for my last too. I mean... I get it - Is The Palace - but seriously? They need to be more accessible - I saw young people walking in completely trashed (probably because they didn t want to pay drinks) and the security people let them in. It was a bit of an eye roll considering you are paying for quality - you will find entitles 21year olds spilling drinks, pushing and screaming at you and 60 year olds starring at you from head to toe scanning what brand of watch you are wearing. Scammers.
You feel welcome as a guest. Excellent service. Great view and infrastructure. Not very cheap.
For years my grandparents made me believe that it was Father Christmas castle so that I could be wise. truthful
After being there "for real" just for a wedding, honestly it is I think even more beautiful than that.
Worthy! Handsomely! Crowded. 2 discos. Room for smokers (including smokers cigars and pipes). Huge bar
Small evening with the group Dora Live band in the lobby!
Careful service.
I was not in it, but by day and night a fantastic photo opportunity.
Has a bit of a Disney Castle.
it is not a hotel where I would spend my holidays because very badly received
Beautiful, comfortable, beautiful view, eight million
Top of Gstaad.
Everything from the finest!
Very beautiful place in the alps (edit last review which was related to another place)
Loved my suite and the excellent high level of service. Could not fault any aspect of my stay. Thank you!
Gstaad Palace Palacestrasse 28, 3780 Gstaad, Switzerland: This hotel looks beautiful on the outside . We were just strolling in Gstaad. The hotel is situated on a road which has many other beautiful mansions with great views & scenes. The walk on this road is quite pleasant.
Top hotel (Palace), very distinguished, dignified, with a lot of charm.
This review only applies to the spa area:
When the public indoor pool is overcrowded or I just feel like a bit of luxury, I treat each of the spa area of one of the luxury hotels in Gstaad.
The Palace Spa, like its younger sisters Alpina and Ultima, does not have a fancy design, but it looks solid and well maintained. One notices that the director Andrea Scherz consistently enforces his Total Quality Management here as well.
What a little annoying, is the fact that you ask the concierge something in Swiss German and reaps only a questioning face. But you have to come to terms with the luxury scene in Gstaad. French, Italian and English are offered. For me no problem, but somehow strange for us locals.
Why are guests have been charged for a coat check after spending $$$ for drinks and dinner ? I find it completely ridiculous. Very unpleasant experience.
For me the hotel is one of my favourite. Surrounded by this beautiful, rich in green mountains, makes it for me a favorable destination. The friendly and experienced staff will make sure you have a good time.
An unforgettable experience, excellent atmosphere and a dream place where you can relax and enjoy the scenery.
An opportunity to ski and cool Zein .. But the area is very, very expensive
Exceptional location and service, which we are no longer used to today, rejuvenation is guaranteed. Thank you for this magnificent stay, made idyllic by your welcome, your kindness, the quality of the rooms and the catering.
The bones of the Palace are still great- Lots of wonderful, friendly staff and a great location.
The facilities are great- The new spa is wonderful and the tennis courts fantastic.
The restaurants serve good food- Not excellent, but very decent if a little old fashioned.
The newer rooms are lovely but the new beds are harder and uncomfortable. The older rooms are shabby and in need of redecoration- Especially the bathrooms and though they are well stocked with decent if unexceptional products (Molton Brown.)
It is very important that you check your room regarding noise as if it's on the same side as the club Greengo you may never sleep! I was actually on this side and called Reception in the early hours of the morning unable to sleep because of the music from the club and the Night Manager said he's go and have a word. I called back 30 mins later as I still couldn't sleep and had to call three times before he eventually said nothing could be done but he could move me to a different room. It's very inconvenient being moved. The process wakes you up- Actually physically moving across a hotel, bright lights resetting your circadian rhythm, looking for water in your new room (none), having to sort your bed. I actually ended up with no sleep and despite complaining the next day to Reception no real form of acceptance or apology which was a disappointment.
The Palace still has the charm, service and setting
Always on top
A welcoming and welcoming direction
A pleasure to come back every winter
The great, classic luxury hotel at its best.
You eat very well.
This hotel is simply the best! Super nice and relaxing. I can only recommend!
One of the best hotels in Gstaad, we allways recomend to our clients!!
Very nice hotel, good service sometimes too full though!
I loved! Education, environment, cleanliness, structure, service I loved everything! Super recommend!
Very fancy restaurant/bar , right out of a Hollywood movie with ofcourse really Switserland prices. Still worth to see it!
Knockout-good. Everything we imagined and hoped it would be. Worth it even if only to pop into the bar.
The finest hotel in the area
High cleanliness and excellent services
Its views are beautiful
I would recommend choosing a hotel with fantastic views
Our visit was for him to drink coffee, and I would recommend visiting him if he is living in Gstaad
I just walked around as I visited Gstaad but the hotel was closed for a private event. Great view at the top of the hill and there was an old rolls royce outside.
Amazing hotel, I love the view from the room, the staff is really polite and professionale. I will come back for sure
Woow. One of the best 10 hotels in the world, thats a fact
It was a successful occasion. Great atmosphere and very courteous staff.
A great stay,
The quality, the welcome, a very good value for money.
To see because one of the oldest hotel in Gstaad, but the building is a bit old up close.
Great place, super friendly staff. Location and view is breathtaking. Rooms are very big and confortable bed!
As always the class! Customer recognition year after year if you are in gstaad and you do not stay at the palace is that you do not like what is best. Thanks to all the teams who are fantastic and the bar service always more than impeccable! Bravo
